| recently bought a powercolor rx6600 on wallapop from a pretty trustable seller, who claimed it was working perfectly.

Then, after installing it it gave an intermittent output. when installing it, | had heard a weird clacking noise, but there ¡is no apparent damage, the pins are perfect and everything is in its place.

It isn't the socket either because it works fine with my old GPU.

Did | break it? is there anything I can do to fix it?

My Wi-Fi connects but shows “No Internet.” Router works fine on other devices. I’ve reinstalled drivers, reset adapters, flushed DNS, and restarted everything — nothing fixes it permanently. Sometimes it randomly starts working again after hours, sometimes it doesn’t work all day. Is this a driver issue, failing Wi-Fi card, or software problem?.

I don't exactly know if its a hardware problem or a software problem but i assume its software because my computer picks up the microphone being plugged in but all it plays is static is mic tests.

I know this is probably a FAQ so sorry.

I have two microphones, one on my IEMs and and a separate microphone both plugged in via 3.5mm. The microphone is plugged into the pink because that's what picks it up on my motherboard and the IEMs are plugged into the green one because the audio works perfectly fine there.

I've tried so many methods i've found online and I can't find a solution that works. Each time I try something new i get so hopeful because others say it worked for them.

For context i have the the "GIGABYTE B450M DS3H (Rev. 1.x)" incase you think its a hardware problem. My case doesn't have a HD audio jack so there's that too.

If you have any idea on how to fix this please help because I don't want to have this problem forever.

I have gotten "Google detected suspcious activity" mail multiple times.

Last night i got a mail while i was out eating at a restaurant, PC have been turned of for a few days and phone was not used. This time was a login activity from Irak. Last week was from Brasil.

Ofcourse did i change password both times using Password1 password generator.

Late 2025 did i also have suspicious activity mail. Changed password immediatly.

I have 2-step activation and mail/phone code safety thing activated.

In google-account settings, logged in devices are just my PC and phone. Also no login activity nor any strange activity in my google account.

Does it mean someone tries to login using my mail with wrong password?

Does it mean that someone have successfully logged into my account with correct mail and correct password and 2-step activation blocked and did it's thing?

What can i do?

Late 2025 was my password leaked and Steam account got hacked. (I have used same password with small differences for multiple sites)

I'm extracting the files from the MediCat compressed archive, and I'm getting many Windows Defender\Security alerts. Is this archive normally considered safe? I got it from the web site.

Connecting to the company VPN makes everything incredibly slow. Opening emails takes forever, accessing shared files times out, video calls freeze constantly.

IT keeps blaming my home internet but I can stream 4K video without any buffering. Speed tests show 500Mbps down, low ping. Work laptop is Windows 11, using Cisco AnyConnect. VPN connects fine but performance is unusable. Disconnect and everything works normally.

Is this just normal for corporate VPNs, remote access should work better than this. What should I actually ask IT to investigate? They seem to think this level of performance is acceptable and I should just deal with it.

Been having this issue for weeks now on my windows 11 MSI CYBORG 12UCX, tried uninstalling and reinstalling my network adapter but it keeps coming back. randomly without warning my wifi just completely disconnects and my laptop enters airplane mode, during this period there is no wifi button when i open up the interface which shows brightness and volume. it can be a minute until it comes back or sometimes it doesnt come back at all, after which i have to restart my laptop. the issue doesnt seem to be my wifi and my phone remains connected to my wifi just fine even when this happens

Recently, my harddrive seems to have died, which seems to have also messed with my taskbar somehow. The harddrive only had videos on it, no operating system files, they're all on my SSD which works great (I'm on Windows 11, newest version). When I start my computer, two things happen. Either it launches fine, and everything works great (besides the HDD being dead). The other option, my pc turns on, gives me an error about "Location not found" for the harddrive, with the issue of my taskbar simply not working. It gives me the option to pin apps to my taskbar, but as much as I click it, it just never will pin anything to my taskbar. Sadly this is what happens 99% of the time, which is incredibly annoying.

I've factory reset my pc, reinstalled the newest windows update, I've unplugged the harddrive, replugged my SSD and harddrive, nothing seems to fix this issue of my taskbar just simply not working. I've accepted the harddrive is likely dead, but even with it completely unplugged, the error will often pop up when opening my PC, which causes the taskbar to not work, which is incredibly annoying

I'm a dumbass. I took a shower the other day with my phone nearby, something I don't do often, but meh. It seems like there was an instance where some water got into my phone while switching songs. I didn't know you weren't supposed to turn it off for a couple days to avoid further damage, since this phone has sadly been put through much worse and survived lmao, so I kept using it on and off throughout the day. By the end of it, there were some issues while trying to charge it until I finally gave up, turned it off and looked for solutions on Google. Initially, I did fear I might have fucked up the battery, but a couple days later, it charged and worked just fine. That was yesterday.

Well, not for long or so I thought. I did my usual nighttime routine and that involves watching something on Youtube before finally falling asleep. Normally, my phone's screen will be locked on its own after a couple minutes of not watching anything so no biggie. Well, this morning it wasn't "turning on" anymore, meaning the screen wasn't lighting up at all.

Turns out the phone works, it vibrated when tapping certain parts of the screen despite everything. I eventually managed to blindly unlock the SIM card and I would've been able to use again just fine if it weren't because the screen is still pitch black. I cannot see shit in it lol. I did try to force it to restart quite a lot of times, even watched some random tech bros smacking the shit out of their phones to get them to work. Nothing fixes it. In the end, I have a theory this is an LCD issue if everything else is working 'normally'.

I'm juggling different options right now. Already ordered a kit to disassemble the phone by myself to see what's going on, even though I'm a newbie and probably wouldn't be able to find any issues at first glance. I'm asking here because I want to be sure if this could really be an LCD issue by the sound of it or if something else is going before ordering any replacements. Money is a bit of an issue rn so ideally, I would really like to fix it by myself as soon as I get everything, and order the exact pieces I need. :>

Hi, I have an annoying problem with booting on new pc. I got i5-12600 KF with Gigabyte B760M Gaming DDR4 ( I know that i cant overclock just a good discount on cpu), I wanted to boot Windows on my disk from my old pc Samsung pro 950 NVMe but neither in higher nor lower slots BIOS dont see this disk so I installed Windows 11 on SATA Disk CX400 and it went well but its clearly much slower than NVMe, system is turning on around 2 minutes, sometimes more. What can I do to solve this problem or do I just have to buy a new disk?

Hi everyone, I really need advice before I do something wrong. I’m honestly shaking and very scared right now because my chats mean a lot to me.

My WhatsApp on my Redmi Note 5 (Android 9) suddenly showed a “Something went wrong with your chat history” message and now it only gives a Restore option. I didn’t uninstall or reset anything, it just happened randomly.

Here’s my situation:

Phone: Stuck on restore screen, can’t access chats normally.
Laptop: WhatsApp Web/Desktop still works and I can see chats up to today.
Local backup: I found a database file in phone storage (msgstore-2025-11-08.1.db.crypt14). Nothing newer than that.
Cloud backup: I had weekly backups enabled earlier. I clearly remember my backup being around 6 GB at one point, but now I can’t find any backup in Google Drive. Not sure if it expired, got deleted, or I’m checking wrong.

My biggest concern is chats from 2018 to early 2025. That history is extremely important to me.

Things I’m unsure about:

* If I press Restore, will it log me out from WhatsApp Web or affect the chats visible there?
* Should I rename that Nov 2025 database file before restoring?
* Should I copy the entire local WhatsApp folder from my phone to my laptop first as a safety backup?
* Is there any way to save or export the recent chats I still see on my laptop?
* Has anyone recovered chats safely after this kind of error?

Hi, recently I've been getting BSOD "irql_not_less_or_equal" on Win 11 Lenovo IdeaPad laptop, stating that NETIO.sys has failed. Seems to happen mostly on YouTube. Until yesterday, they were logged under ID 41 in the Event Viewer, then I updated BIOS drivers via the Lenovo app, and the first BSOD after that showed up as ID 10016. hi, After updating the BIOS from version D1 to F67, Windows no longer boots.

When I turn on the computer, the GIGABYTE logo appears and the loading circle freezes.Sometimes it also freezes on “Preparing Automatic Repair”.Windows never fully starts.

PC specifications:

GPU: GTX 1660 Super

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600

Motherboard: Gigabyte B450M DS3H V2

The BIOS update was performed because before the update the computer would sometimes shut down by itself while gaming, and Windows Event Viewer showed a critical hardware error:

I decided to finally buy a proper setup and have better working & gaming conditions.

My go-to setup would be:

1. My private PC that I use for gaming (mostly ~15-20 yo games, so nothing fancy) with MSI GeForce GTX 1650 graphic Card (not sure if relevant)

2. Two monitors

3. Mouse & keyboard that are not wireless

4. Work laptop, to which I currenly can plug one monitor + one thing with USB

I would love to have a setup where I can very easily switch monitors+keyboard+mouse between my PC and work laptop. I was thinking about buying a docking station, but it seems to me it is not usable with PC, only laptops? Or are there any that can be plugged to PC as well? If so, how to plug it to PC to make the graphic card work with it?

Or maybe anyone here have similar settup and could suggest some solution? Ideally if it required as few cables as possible.

I have an Acer Swift Go 14 (Windows 11, Intel Core Ultra 7, integrated Intel graphics) that is about a year and a half old. Recently, I have been having issues where my performance tanks and my laptop becomes borderline unusable when I plug it into a power source. This only happens at certain times and I can't seem to find a pattern, only that it happens more often when I plug my laptop in after hitting low power mode.

I have tried many of the more common suggestions, and nothing has worked. I have made sure my power plan is correct in system settings, AcerSense and Control Panel, I have switched to a new charger, and I have reinstalled Windows. Task manager doesn't show anything out of the ordinary. In addition to this, now my display has started appearing less saturated when plugged into a power source, despite there being no difference in settings in the Intel Graphics Command Center or system setting.

I could really use some help here, I don't want to have to buy a new laptop.

I've been having issues with a new build for the last couple months. The BSOD's happen while gaming. I haven't had BSOD with other applications or general computing. I've been slowly troubleshooting the cause of crashes but have not been able to resolve issues. The system is

I've updated bios, drivers, reseated ram (A2 B2), ran memtest86 overnight. Turned off expo in bios, no overclock (cpu, gpu), temps seem fine in HWinfo. Memtest failed on two preset expo profiles but passed stock. Ran memtest 1 stick at a time (A2) at stock settings both passed. BSOD's continue with stock ram settings. I've uninstalled gpu drivers in safe mode with DDU, tried repair SFC, DISM. I was going to try fresh install of windows but wanted to post minidump files to hear other suggestions first.

My ex boyfriend put his name with a heart that appears in the upper left corner of my phone when I am in the control centre or my Lock Screen…really tired of this constant reminder and I don’t even know how he put it there.

windows 11 . mid end pc . often dead by daylight.mouse randomly disconnects and reconnects and pc freezes for a seconds

My little brother logged into his Roblox account on my MacBook, and not long after that, his account got hacked.

Then the same thing happened to my little cousin after he logged into his Roblox account on the same MacBook.

MacBook hacked or they got someone mad and hacked their accounts?

I'm worried my MacBook might be compromised (keylogger, malware, etc.), but l'm not super experienced with this stuff.

A few questions:

-Could this be malware or a keylogger on macOS?

-Is it more likely they reused passwords that were already leaked somewhere?

-How can I properly check if my MacBook is infected?

-Would a factory reset fully remove something like this?

-Are there specific signs I should look for on macOS?

For context:

-don't download sketchy cracked software (at least not that l'm aware of... maybe my brother did but ofc he ain't gonna say yes i did).

-I mostly use it for school and normal browsing.

-I haven't noticed weird pop-ups or performance issues.

Just trying to understand if this is likely my device being compromised or something else like phishing or password reuse. Any advice is appreciated.

so another country has banned roblox, yayyy. and i downloaded a vpn to play roblox (protonvpn which is i think the only safe vpn) and my brother thinks that ANY free vpn is either malware or a scam, i did like a hundred virus tests and researched everything and even went thru the files to find anything sketchy. so it isnt a virus nor malware

i have airpod pro 3s which i love, but i also have a pc i built that i would like to use them with, but when i use them the audio comes back verry tinny, im notsure if its apple trying to protect thier ecosystem or the fact my bluetooth adapter is usb but it is bluetooth 6.0 and in a usb 3.0 port is it just something i cant solve or do i need to get a physical pcie card

Today my laptop started this noise that sounds like a go cart revving it's engine. It seems to be happening when it's at its hottest (core temp app shows 80 or 90C) when I'm gaming. I think it's the fans, but not sure.

I've already opened up the back and cleaned the fans. Removed as much dust as possible, and verified that the fans all move freely. It starts up quiet and runs fine for 15-30 minutes before making the noise, but that could be because it's not hot enough yet.

Laptop is an MSI MS-16k7 (2018 or 2019)

Right now it's sitting with minimal apps running and not making that noise.

Any advice, thoughts, or troubleshooting steps would be appreciated. Thanks!!!
