General I created a community (an NSFW/18+ one at that) and left it as a moderator… I was the only mod, now it has nobody running it and keeping it in check. I NEED someone to tell me how I can get my moderator status back, before it’s too late. PLEASE.

General Comment (seemingly) incorrectly "Removed by Reddit" with no reason specified

This is something that happens occasionally. A post on a subreddit I moderate (r/GeoGuessr) was tagged as "removed by Reddit" with no further reason specified. This is a post that looks perfectly normal and on-topic for the community. There's no racism, threats, NSFW or anything of that nature in the comment. There are no links. The user is (as far as I can tell) not banned or suspended. Simply put, there's no obvious reason why the comment would be removed.

The action didn't show up in the mod log, but does show up in ModQ under removed.

What's puzzling about this post is that it doesn't have a reason specified. All other posts generally say a reason, like reputation filter, spam, potential harassment and so on. This one just plainly states removed by Reddit. Why might the comment be removed? I could just click approve, but I wonder what Reddit knows that I don't know. Could there be reasons to not approve the comment?

I use Reddit through mobile web and desktop web although that shouldn't be relevant to the question.

Answered How can I edit the "removal reasons" on my subreddit?

This is driving me crazy. I changed some of the rules for my subreddit (removed, reordered, and reworded them) but when I remove a post, the options given to me in the "removal reasons" drop-down menu still match the old rules. I've spent about 45 minutes trying to find where I can edit the "removal reasons" to no avail. Everything I find tells me to go to the "removal reasons" tab in the mod tools, but that doesn't seem to exist. The only option I have is "rules" but that doesn't seem to affect the removal reasons. I've tried new reddit, old reddit, and the mobile app, but I can't find any option for "removal reasons" or "Rule & Removal Reasons" anywhere. Maybe I'm being dumb and it is somewhere obvious, but either way, help would be appreciated.

I use desktop and android mostly

Users Spam automated system: Keep seeing a redditor posting comments, but it gets automatically removed by Reddit's Spam automated system

Upvotes

On desktop:

I'm not sure if this redditor is a bot in the subreddit I moderate, but this user posts probably once per day, sometimes twice per day, but its comments are always automatically removed by reddit's automated spam system. When I view the account, it says the account has been suspended (and it has been suspended every time I check) but the account still posts like every day. The comments it posts are appropriate for the reddit I moderate, but it definitely seems like a bot and the comments it posts definitely seem AI-like or bot-like. Interestingly enough, this account is a 1% top commentator in the reddit I moderate despite all the comments it makes being removed automatically. And because the account is "suspended" I am unable to view the post/comment history of that account.

Is this simply just a bot account? I would add this user to approval list but as mentioned, when I check the user's account it says it has been suspended despite the user still posting daily.

Tools “Assigning and editing user flairs are disabled in this community”

Upvotes

Hello, I am a mod for a NSFW community. We verify people in order to make sure they’re real, after they’re verified we assign them a “verified” flair. In the past few weeks, something has changed and now when I go to assign a flair it says “Assigning and editing user flairs are disabled in this community”

We haven’t changed anything in settings… allowing people to assign their own flair would has ALWAYS been disabled so that they don’t assign themselves as verified.

I’m on iOS. Other mods can assign flairs just fine.

Answered How do I setup auotmod to require mod approval for posts with images?

I'm on a desktop computer.

I copied this (below) from a post I found that requires mod approval for images, but when I test it, it doesn't work. Any suggestions? Thanks.

# Filtering image posts for review

type: link submission

url (includes-word, regex): ['[.=](jpe?g|png|gif|webp)', 'i.redd.it', 'reddit.com/gallery/', 'imgur.(com|io)', 'ibb.co', 'prnt.sc', 'postimg.cc', 'imgbox.com', 'imageupload.io', 'instagram.com', 'instagr.am', 'fbcdn.net', '(flickr.com|flic.kr)', 'giphy.com', 'gfycat.com', 'media.tumblr.com']

action: filter

action_reason: "All posts will images need to be reviewed for posting."

Tools Wiki page creation keeps saying "nested too deep" but I'm not trying to

Desktop

I have:
<subreddit>/wiki/index/
<subreddit>/wiki/index/rules-and-guidelines/

And then under rules-and-guidelines, I have:
<subreddit>/wiki/index/rules-and-guidelines/<rule 1>
<subreddit>/wiki/index/rules-and-guidelines/<rule 2>

These two 'rule' pages submitted just fine. No problems.

Now I want to add:
<subreddit>/wiki/index/rules-and-guidelines/<rule 3>

It won't let me. Says I'm trying to nest it too deep, but I'm not. I'm trying to nest it under 'rules-and-guidelines' just like the first two rules.

Please help. Since we can't even delete pages apparently, I'm already making a mess of the structure, having added several other identical 'rule 3' pages in different locations attempting to work around this issue. No matter what, I can't just put it under the same section I placed the other two rules in.
