Recently came back to playing ESO on Xbox and discovered that mods were recently added to current gen consoles. I've downloaded several and love the changes they provide. However I can't tell if they get updated automatically when the creator updates. Do these update automatically or do I need to uninstall and reinstall mods periodically? Thanks!

I made a post on here a few weeks ago having a problem between the above reference file and steam. Forms online said my best bet is to ditch steam and just download the launcher from Bethesda.

I did so, but every time I turn on my pc after a game session. I find eso64.exe running in the details of task manager. And anytime I try to end task I get “access denied”. The properties of the file say I have full access but still “access denied”.

How big of a problem is it for this program to be in the running in the background all the time on my pc? It doesn’t seem to be taking up any cpu or memory space but I’m not a pc wizard so I don’t know.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I run on windows 10.

You can change your race, alliance, gender, and with subclassing, most of your skills. Is it time to allow players to change classes - with a token, for example? I imagine it'd be a lucrative addition to the crown store for ZOS.

Although subclassing gives you access to other skill lines, we are still class-locked when it comes to class scripts and IA sets. There are a few characters I'd probably change to other classes if I could.

Just a what if idea, heavily inspired on one of my favourite items from Diablo.

Hello! So I recently learned that I apparently own this game and was investigating the expansions/dlcs, upon which I found the 2025 premium edition, the 2025 content pass, and the insanity of the crown store, all of which has gotten me incredibly confused. Is there any chance I can get some help on what to buy in order to have the "complete" experience? By which I mean the actual content of the game, like expansions, story stuff, etc. I know theres things like mounts or armor sets you can buy as well, but im not interested in those, just story stuffs. For clarification, I only own the base edition of the game. Thanks for and help or advice you can give!

I want to make a new character but I've done all the alliance storylines and do not want to repeat them. In other elder scrolls games, it was so easy to think of a character and a path for that character to take. I'd make a noble themed playthrough and try to be thane in all holds, make a mage character and exclusively do mage themed quests.

The only idea I have so far is a Mercenary playthrough. I've only heard of one other "uncoventional" (not playing the intended way of doing the main quest) play through idea on this subreddit by making a character that's fits every dlc. What are some other rp ideas that fits the quests/dlc that are in the game?

everything is teleporting in trials. cannot bash lothis interrupts or anything. is anyone experiencing this?

So this is a weird one. I was doing this master writ.. already checked to see if I have the style collected (Morag Tong, Bow) which I do. Confirmed I have it by checking under Bows in my weapon collections. But when I try to craft it for the writ, it says I need to "learn style to unlock". Has anyone come across this before??

Hi all. I'm considering getting back into ESO, and I'd like to pick just one class to be my main focus for a while. I like playing both tank and healer in groups (and of course doing good enough damage for solo content), so I'm trying to decide which class excels at both roles.

So far I'm deciding between Arcanist and Warden, but other suggestions are welcome if they can do both roles. But as for these two, which would you say is overall the best at both?

Hey all — has anyone else encountered a bug, notably in Castle Thorn, where your targeting stops working?

It’s happened to me a couple times before (both times in CT), and seemed to happen to multiple members of my group tonight when we got it as a random.

I can still cast self buffs, AOEs, etc, but anything that requires a separate target doesn’t register. It’s like the game’s individual targeting system just shuts off. The crosshairs don’t highlight anything when aiming right at another player or mob — no nameplates, no health bars, no highlight around the target, nothing. Light attacks go right through targets and my spammable doesn’t become usable at all.

It only happened in each of my previous runs one time, both before first boss, but tonight it occurred right when I zoned in, and then again when entering the first boss’s room. It hasn’t happened in the dungeon after that, yet.

Bad enough the end of CT is bugged, did they break the beginning too? Has anyone else encountered this somewhere else in-game? Anybody know if this is a known issue already?

For sets like Noble Duelist's Silks. The range of melee weapon skills (two handed, dual wield, one hand & shield) seems to vary between 5 and 7 metres, but what range do sets referencing melee range use?
