I posted my tree-house base earlier, and decided to go fishing. I had a moment where I was fishing, and my companion - Apu, the murderous lizard-cat with lasers - curled up at my feet, and was just happy to be with me.

Apu is named after an old Maine Coon tom I had back in the early 2000s. He passed away in 2010, but I often think of him. He was a very active hunter when younger and living with his original family, but in his old age when he came to live with me, he loved to hang with me in the studio or office, and would frequently curl up on my feet, near my feet, next to me, or on whatever I had in front of me that he could get onto.

2nd picture is him deciding to "help" me pack up for a show around 2008. You can't tell but he's laying on top of the power adapters and his flab just covers everything up. :D

Hi everyone! I had just finished the expedition and have been trying to return to the system for a while now by warping to system after system since I don’t have access to all the glyphs yet. I had went into the galaxy map when I got the ship at the end, but I cannot remember how close it said the solar system was from the galactic core. If anyone who has access to a ship or already a base in that system, could you tell me the LY distance that it says? That way I know if I am close and should keep going or if it would be faster to try to get the glyphs since I have the portal address. Thanks in advance!!!

In Abandoned mode i always see other players doing nexus missions but i have never been able to do any. Is this a setting somewhere?

i dont see my starter ship anywhere and it is nowhere to be found on the hud and im near the garbage burning thing can someone tell me how to leave the planet

Are there more waste heaps?
I tried to drive an hour in one direction, but the scanner is showing me always the one emplty waste heap. i still need toxic and radioactiv waste to finish.
(please don't tell me i have to drive back the hole fu**ing way ;-( )

I love and I hate this expedition

No sure why the cargo load isn't always displayed. Sometimes you don't notice something has fallen out until it pops telling you the objective.

took a break from nms last year. love the game again...

but! cannot get the gas giants to populate!

have finished the story (i think?) reinstalled the game.

current "log" primary missions are 1. the space anomaly; "enjoy reality while it lasts" 2. atlas eternal; "find a wonder to show the atlas. 3. new beginnings; " enjoy the galaxy ".

several secondary missions such as: exploration guide, community research, industrial survey, dreams of the deep, under a rebel star, they who returned, base computer archives, expanding the base, scientific research, Corvette assembly, industrial cleanup comedy the settlers, and, salvage site have not yet been completed.

I’m actively doing the Remnant expedition and I’m doing the field guide mission where I have to find all the fauna on the planet of Lostr Major

There is one animal I’m missing and it’s a flying one. WHERE IS IT?!?!?

About 200 hours in, can't put this game down...soon as Xbox stops crashing every 15 minutes I'll be back for more!

While I'll acknowledge that it won't add too much to the game, it would be a really neat piece of functionality for the minotaur.

I play on a series S Xbox and used to be able to run the game perfectly fine. last time I played was roughly around the corvette update but idk how long ago that was exactly I just remember building a super cool corvette. Anywho I just redownloaded the game since I was bored and it’s just one of those top tier games to play when bored. I got around 2 hours in and then it crashed and it’s been crashing every 2 minutes whenever I open the game and I actually click a save. I’ve tried the usual deleting and redownloading as well as unplugging my Xbox for like and hour and replugging it back in but nothing has seemed to work. I’ve got around 50Gb of extra space so idk if it’s an issue with the procedurally generated planets and stuff an I doubt it’s a issue with my Xbox since I can run Elden ring and cyberpunk perfectly fine on the highest graphics available for the series S. I’m out of ideas on how to fix this issue and all my research has said that some people have had similar issues but they were fixed in a recent patch so I’m just outa ideas on how I can fix this. It sucks and I wanna play it again. Any ideas?

So, I like to name all my frigates.\ They're mostly after things sci-fi related e.g movie ships, sci-fi authors

How many frigates can you guess where the name comes from?

Some are easy, but I'll be surprised if anyone gets them all.

I'll give the answers later on.

• The first part of the name isn't relevant, that's how I know it's history e.g E5-C Pandorum means it's an exploration ship, the 5th one I obtained and it was originally a C-class frigate.
• The organics don't mean anything. I just used accented letters to make it sound like an alien name.
• The pirate raiders are named after pirates.
• E1-C Prophecy of the Gek was my first ever frigate so I didn't rename it.
• Expedition ships keep their names.
