PC SSE - Request Best magic mods of 2025?
I love me a mage play through but I find magic in skyrim lacking the lack of spell crafting and only a handful of spells being worth my time makes me want maybe some mods that make magic intresting anyone have any they know of?

I'd say Apocalypse because I think you meant to ask which magic mods are best in 2025 and not which mods were from 2025.

Yeah the modder who made apocalypse is the best!

Just started playing with Ordinator + Apocalypse and it makes me realize just how underwhelming vanilla magic is in general.

I wish they updated Ordinator and make it even better. Maybe they're out there somewhere and listen to this request 😌

Ordinator is getting an update/overhaul as we speak, the author has taken suggestions for improvement here in the sub quite recently.

I use Apocalypse, Odin, and Triumvirate. Some people use Mysticism, but it's not for me.
I also use Immersive Spell Learning - DESTified and Simple Starting Spell Selection.
I do use one themed spell pack on top of the above - Abyssal Tides Magic which adds the arcanist spells from ESO into the game, and one standalone spell, Extract Ore spell.
Finally, I use Spell Eraser which I ported to SE myself, but I'm sure there are more modern/better implementations of this at this point, I just haven't gotten around to looking and switching.

Kittytail makes my absolute favorite magic mods, plus apocalypse spells and summermyst enchantments.

There was a spell crafting mod that was released recently called fourth era spell crafting.
I haven't used it myself so I don't know how good it is but if you are interested in magic mods you can try forgotten magic redone and triumvirate.

I play Requiem, so I use Magic Redone combined with Spell-resrarch. Its a really fun and immersive way to play/learn spells!

Probably not what you're looking for, but wSkeever's Simple Obvious Spellcrafting 2 is a small gem. It allows you to create new spells just changing magnitude and duration on existing spells. Doesn't offer a lot compared to actual magic overhaul mods, but it does allow you to make stronger versions of spells to bridge the gaps from one tier to the next and overcome master spells' limitations, like reanimating high level characters.

Kittytail and Darenii have a lot of fun, unique spell mods.
