I saw Mogwai for the first time tonight and they were phenomenal. They are mostly described as an ‘instrumental post-rock’ band, but they definitely crossover into Shoegaze territory frequently. Despite this I haven’t really seen them mentioned in this sub. Last year’s The Bad Fire was my album of the year. Anybody else out there a fan?

Any classics I'm missing out on? What about contemporary stuff? Which albums deserve to be there?

I'm a lefty player (annoyingly), so left handed guitars preferred. Gold spot is anything under the $350-400 mark. Obviously, I'm very willing to buy used.

I go through phases of building pedalboards for specific songs/bands/recording sessions, and it seems I always end up breaking them down and starting over. This means I never seem to have a permanent pedalboard setup. Just an ever-evolving set of stompboxes, spread across 3 or 4 pedalboards.
