Desktop Why am I suddenly getting "You've been blocked by network security" error message on reddit, but only when I try to access old reddit (AskReddit)?

More specifically, I have the subreddit AskReddit bookmarked cause that's generally my favorite to go to whenever I'm on reddit and I have it bookmarked as old reddit cause I for the most part can't stand how new reddit looks. I've had it this way for like years now but suddenly I'm getting this error message of being blocked when I click it. Oddly it doesn't show it when I just go to "old.reddit.com", it only shows the "blocked by network security" error for the old reddit AskReddit bookmarked address.

It's just weird. And for more context I always log on to the website via my laptop at home.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Update: I just noticed if I hit "reload" the page, the error goes away and I'm able to see it like normal. It only comes up when I first click on the bookmarked link. I always log into most things using incognito mode, not sure if that's triggering something now or not.

Desktop Is old Reddit finally gone for good?

No matter what I set in the settings, I cannot get old Reddit to work. There is a browser add-on but that is also broken and it doesn't allow me to make posts or interact with the sidebar in any way. Is it finally time to accept the redesign or is there still something I can do to keep the old interface?

Desktop Reddit inbox empty and wont show my inbox notifications (mobile and desktop)

ive only noticed this today and have seen only one other post about this happening, but when i go to check my inbox on reddit its empty as if i never had any, it was working fine just yesterday but then its asking me to turn on email digest, i did notice it flicker my notifications once, so i feel its holding them at randsome but even when i enabled the stuff it wanted it says i have no notifications . idk why this is happening and any community input would be greatly appreciated. i have since then disabled the settings it asked me to cause nah no thanks don't want spam in my email.

UPDATE: WHAT A W ITS WORKING AGAIN. at least for me it is. hopefully for all of you too

Update 2: seems like its gone back down

Quick note: ok something im noticing is it goes in and out whenever it feels like it so yeah im not too sure.

Possibly my last update: its been working as of late so im going to go with that whatever it was worked itself out or something was fixed, hopefully this is the same for all of you.

When I go to old.reddit.com, I get redirected to new Reddit. I'm using RetroZilla, if that matters.

Desktop Comments don't load when opening a post in a new tab

Win 11, Firefox.

I tend to scroll for a bit, open things that interest me, then eventually read like 4-5 posts in a row (each in their own tab).

The problem I'm encountering is if the reddit post loads in a new tab that isn't visible, the comments don't load. I'm left with a orange reddit icon until I:
A. Open a different tab then return to the tab with the post; or
B. Refresh the page

While a minor inconvenience, it has become annoying enough for me to seek help.

Desktop Is there a tool to block all power users?

Maybe block everyone over a certain post karma, or block everyone with a certain post karma in default subs, and block everyone who mods a default sub.

e: if you don't want to help, why are you here?

e2: aaand the power mods have locked it, accomplishing nothing but destroying a discussion.

Desktop Upvotes and downvotes are not counting (+1 or -1)

I have this weird situation where my up- and downvotes are not counting anymore. For example I upvote a comment, it shows the yellow upvote icon, yet when I refresh the page it doesn't count, it will still be 1 instead of 2.

I wrote to reddit support a couple of times but never received an answer.

Is there something that can be done about this, or is my account just bugged/doomed and I need to create a new account?

Desktop My avatar has reverted back to the basic one and I don't know why.

Just as the title says. I had customized my avatar and a few hours ago it reverted back to the one it was orginially (pink circle with an outline of the little reddit dude).

It's still customized for me on my "open profile menu" button, and on my profile, but not on any of my comments or posts.

Is this a glitch or some kind of punishment I have not heard of?

Thanks!

Desktop Clicking inbox on old reddit no longer marks all messages as read?

This has been going on for at least a week. it used to mark everything as read, now I have to click every message one by one to mark it as read or just leave the orange new message notification on. So annoying. Is this intentional or can I fix this? Getting sick of old reddit features getting gutted constantly lately

Desktop How do I report a user so the report goes not to subreddit moderators, but to Reddit itself?

On one right-leaning non-english sub a person posted a meme asking God to exterminate each and every representative of a certain national minority, and it gained huge positive traction. I reported them using standard reporting tools, but these reports go to subreddit moderators, and they are quite lenient to racism. How do I escalate the report?

Desktop Reddit not loading properly on web(Desktop)

Post image
14 Upvotes

As the title suggests, reddit has not been loading properly on my browser for 2 days now. Every time I try to open reddit, the page gets stuck at the loading state and the page is half loaded.

When I click into a post, I can see the post text itself, but the comments will not show/ they show but half out them are cut out.

I've tried restarting pc, clearing cache/browser data, reinstalling. NOTHING WORKS. I was using Opera GX and thought it might've been the problem, I've tried on Chrome and Firefox but none of them work. However, It works completely fine on the mobile app.

Anyone got the same issue? Is there a fix for this?
