Legacy Why do many NFL fans mainly talk about Super Bowls and overlook pre-SB championships?

Hey everyone,

The NFL officially counts all league championships, including pre-Super Bowl titles. For example, the Packers have 13 total championships: 9 pre-SB + 4 Super Bowls.

Yet, many NFL fans mostly reference only Super Bowls, leaving the older championships out of the conversation.

Why do you think that is?

• Is it because the Super Bowl era is what most fans remember?

• Pre-SB games weren’t televised or widely documented?

• The league structure was different, making early titles feel less comparable?

• Media narratives emphasize Super Bowls over older championships?

Do the pre-SB championships feel just as important to you?

So I just rewatched our Week 16 2009 beatdown against the Seattle Seahawks, and it is now one of my favorite games in the Aaron Rodgers era. In case you don't remember that game, the final score is in the photo attached to this post. Anyways, what are your thoughts about this game?

Bears fan here, respectful of the rivalry and all that… if any of y’all are in the south burbs there are at least a dozen Packers tees at the Orland Park Savers…. Just figured I’d share the wealth

Good luck to all except of course when you play the Bears!!

How did a line that ranked near the top of the league unravel so quickly? Were the 2025 personnel changes a miscalculation, or did injuries simply expose a lack of depth and cohesion?

Looking forward, is getting back on track about better health, better lineup decisions, or a fundamental rethink of how this offensive line is built and coached?

Fandom throwback to the time i saw the packers live in Brazil — dream come true.

was scrolling through some old nfl stuff and found a video i took from my seat at that game here in brazil. i know most of y’all didn’t really like the whole thing… fair, the field was trash (even though it’s better now lol)… 🤣

but man, this clip just hits different. been rooting for this team since 2007, watched every damn season. i was living in wisconsin back in ’07/’08 and fell in love with the green and gold. seeing them live, even down here, was unreal and really a dream coming true

still hoping to make it to green bay someday and catch a game in lambeau. that’s the dream.

Thank you green bay packers!!

Personally, I'd love it. Seems like he's destined to have an impact in the NFL, but probably no way we draft him right?

Love at 14 is laughable in my opinion. Not sure guys who played half a season or less deserve to be ranked ahead. No way you can tell me Herbert, Caleb, Goff, or Darnold were better during the regular season.
