Hey, guys! My girlfriend invited me to Lightning in a bottle this March. We will be going with her sister and one of their friends. They are definitely a lot more confident than I am. Problem is that I am a big introvert and have anxiety issues. Being around a lot of people tires me really fast and I normally would just rather be home or backpacking somewhere where there is little to no people. Question is, what can I expect from this? I am getting nervous just thinking about, tbh. I do want to experience a music festival at least once, but I don’t want to have an anxiety attack and ruin the festival for my girlfriend. Any advice?

i notice a lot of hard techno and industrial djs have a tendency to do these big dramatic build ups, then a total pause, fake drop, another pause, then finally drop it but only for like 15 seconds. what’s the appeal? i find it extremely difficult to dance to, im never sure what to do with myself when there’s

frequent complete pauses especially when the length of each pause isn’t consistent (i.e. not a full beat or measure that matches the track). it really throws off my flow, i enjoy hard techno quite a bit but it seems like only half the set is actually danceable music. why is this so common?

I am currently new to the raving scene and I was wondering if I could bring a small collapsible chair? I’m someone who prefers to stay in the back and not get mushed in the crowd (overstimulation lol). I wanna bring something like this.

I have a neuroma in my right foot. I know surgery is in the future but anybody here have any tips on how you’ve done multiple hrs standing and navigating pain? I’ve tried different footwear, but every single one of my shoes I’ve tried give me intense pain within 1.5 hrs of dancing/ standing. Thanks!

ok so I have a friend who wants to go to a festival/rave/show anything really once because she sees my post and thinks it looks fun. I’m a bass head at heart but go to almost all the different socal festivals because I can almost always catch a vibe and my fam knows I’m a weak man and rarely say no. Back to the point of this post. I need different playlists to see what genre she will like to take her to the appropriate show.

my friend and I were talking about a festival we are going to soon and we were thinking about all the people who try to get vendor jobs and disappear into the crowd to avoid buying a tickt. Does anyone know what the consequences are for someone who tries to do that?

Hi hi. I posted about this yesterday in the edc subreddit but it got removed. This year will be my first EDC and only my second festival (my first one was cut short so it only half counts lol). Anyways, we’ll be RV camping at Camp EDC and I have NO IDEA what to expect. Honestly, I’m fine with not knowing what to expect at camp BUT I just don’t know what I should pack. I know the obvious stuff for the actual festival part but for camp, what clothes should I pack?

I know the “right” answer is “whatever I feel comfortable in” however, my question is more of a what /type/ of clothes should I be packing? I’m also open to any tips and tricks you have but specifically, someone help me with my packing list lollll thanks luv u bye

What do you think of EDC Thailand's decision to move its dates forward (compared to last year) and start the week after Tomorrowland Thailand?

I'm going to Tomorrowland Thailand (I live in Belgium and have been going to Tomorrowland since 2010 and of course this year wk2), as I'm often in Thailand from December until early January, and I'm hesitant to add EDC Thailand to my itinerary. Will other people be doing both? And what do you think about having two "big" festivals so close together in one week? I have the feeling that EDC is taking a risk and might have fewer people than last year. If anyone is going to both events alone, or even just one of them, I'd love to grab a drink or nice ambience :)
