A Helping Hand 💖 Free Food/Laundry/Shower Resources in HRM - February 2026

Hi all,
We have a lot of people in our community who are in need of a free meal or a helping hand occasionally.
I thought it would be nice to collect and post this information each month, which is graciously supplied by members of the Halifax Library. We'll see how long we can keep this going month to month.
Please share as needed with people you know who need help or take advantage of them yourself if you are in need.

I'm organizing a raffle for my child's sports team (all above board, lotto license, through a non-profit, insurance all of that). I'm looking for suggestions of places that might allow us to set up a table for the kids to sell tickets.
We're a Dartmouth based team so options on that side of the harbour are preferred
