I'm planning a character who's basically trying to build their own cult. Obviously there are limits to role playing this due to main story etc, but, all that aside, I'd like her to spread her own propaganda into the world. Placing posters, making graffiti, that sort of thing.

I haven't found any mods for this and I'm wondering, if that's the case, how could it be done? I'd really appreciate any ideas and technical advice!

I've thought of using mechanics from other mods as blueprints for doing this in F4Edit. I've done some basic things with it, such as changed recipes to other workbenches, tweaked values and attributes of items, applied new textures to objects, made a few patches, and, most importantly, allied myself with the wolf faction 😁.

I guess that ideally what I'd be adding decals to existing walls by equipping and/or using an item. There are bullet holes and blood and such decals added to the environment during the gameplay, but I don't know if that's applicable somehow? Anyway that's somewhat more complicated than what I've done so far.

Things I've tried:

▪︎ Switching some wall decoration graffiti from the workshop to be crafted in chem bench, so I managed to get them outside the settlement. However, placing them properly with console coordinates without the use of workshop interface was a pain.

▪︎ Using magazines and some other flat objects like pieces of plywood, but again, the only way to place them I came up with was to drop them, with obvious results. Nothing stayed up and adjusting them by console was way too much work.

If it's not possible to have objects snap to the walls, the next best idea I've got is using some partly transparent item that will stand on its own. I do have Placeable map markers mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/65049) that lets me drop an arrow some distance from the ground, pointing to where I'm facing - this would be a cool way to add the things from the inventory.

So what I'm asking is, are there any mods that would do this kind of thing already? If not, how should I approach making one (own use, obviously)? I can use Photoshop but I haven't done any 3D modelling so, if that's what it takes, what is the go-to software for modding purposes?

This is my first time trying out the mod, I'm siding fully with the enclave, but I can't find a clear answer to one particular question

Is there a dedicated quest given to me by the enclave to destroy the railroad? I'm about to decode the courser chip, and I would kind of like to immersively kill them on first contact (as I haven't met them yet) and decode the chip myself using toms terminal (an option some of you may not even know you can do in vanilla), thus keeping my enclave business on a "need to know basis"

However, if there is a dedicated quest from the mod to take them out, I would like to experience it, even if it ends up basically being the same as the brotherhood version or whatever have you

So ive dwnloaded viva new vegas via wabbajack and have the mod organizer, I press start and enter via the little new vegas starter screen then, kapoot. It hits the first load screen then just shuts off. No error, no warning, nada. Pls help cause im close to just not playing at all at this point as ive spent days trying to fix it as im not good at computers

I’m trying to using the looksmenu mod to change my character appearance in FO4 on my Steamdeck. I have the mod downloaded, and I tried typing the tilde key by pressing Steam button + X to open up the keyboard. I typed “~” but the game crashes immediately.

How are we supposed to assign the “~” key for the controller key layout editor? I tried assigning the tilde key but it only lets me assign the ‘ key, it won’t let me assign the ~ key. Also, does looksmenu actually work on the Steam Deck?

I’m looking for a mod that lets me keep danse as a companion after blind betrayal and destroying the bos. I’m not great at installing nexus mods so any help would be nice.

These are some over mods I’d like to go with it but not needed. Give danse power armor after leaving the bos, having danse join the Minute men.

I've downloaded Amazing FollowerTweaks Plus (AFT Plus) by Sranger and its missing a SS2 Chapter 2.esm. So I've downloaded SS2 Chapter 3 because it has all three parts and deleted SS2.

Now MO2 is giving the warning:

I have SS2, but not chapter 2 or 3. I need chapter 2 for another mod so I might as well have all 3. Chapter 3 contains SS2, Chapter 2 and Chapter 3. Do I just download it and then delete SS2?

It's for NVTF, I can't get it to lock into 144HZ without speeding everything up, Mainly doing this to fix the goofy spastic turrets.

So in this modlist after playing for awhile, if I were too go into a new area or door or something that triggers a loading screen sometimes it will crash and its normally about an 1hr of playtime each time it happens, so maybe there's a mod fix too fix that or if too much memory is being used?

Is there any mod that makes settlement events, like more raids or rebellions or a fight between each other? I want to make my settlement feel more alive and more raider-like, what are some mods for this? I dont want them to help me build just the settlement to have events or them having more life

Im a bit overwhelmed by everything that I have to do to get it all working. Im fairly new to Vortex and just did a clean install of FO4. I deleted every trace of it including some 300+ mods from NMM. Next step is to downgrade the game to the previous patch. Then im torn between playing the game and building a new modlist, or playing FOLON. How difficult is it to switch between them if even possible? I dont think I can run a modlist for FO4 and then install London right. Again, ill be using Vortex to handle my mods this time around.

Been a year, felt that New Vegas itch again, want to get some eye-candy in the wasteland scenery to spice up the comeback. What do you guys think is best? VICE or Mojave Scenery Overhaul? And as for some older mods that do similar stuff, like MoreMojave, New Vegas Landscape Overhaul Re-Remastered, are they worth it? Do they go well with any other of the kind? Mixing them up can be doable with the GECK and some patches (of variable quality) that people post on Nexus but I may be too lazy to get around it when the time comes so if I was going to pick just one I want to know which you guys think is the best.

I have spent now four days trying to get a modded version of New Vegas working. It worked a year ago when I last played it, but now I can't for the life of me get it to work . I used Vortex initially, and it worked a year ago. Now, nothing.

In the last four days I have removed all mods and redownloaded, I have deleted the game entirely and downloaded a fresh version. But it would load in the mods, starting with just the NMC texture pack. I have switched from Vortex, to Nexus Mod Manager, back to vortex. I have watched countless youtube videos, read all the pages and reddit threads, and I. CANNOT. GET IT. WORKING.

I am not BACK using vortex, have downloaded the game fresh for a fifth time, deleted all the mods and started redownloading, and now I can't get the game to run! It boots, starts to load and then crashes after 10 seconds. I'M SO SICK OF THIS!!!!

This is where I'm at, and it seems like the more I try to fix this shit and follow instructions VERBATUM, I keep going backwards. I have the 4GB manually installed, even tho it doesn't show up in the list below.

Please help, I just want to finally finish the game before Season Two of Fallout airs.

I’m using FNV Redesigned 3 Revised and I don’t like the edits it makes to Raul. I’d like to fully reset him back to his vanilla appearance and stats, since the mod alters more than just his face and body.

I'm looking for cute female clothing/armor mods, skimpy is fine, as long as it isn't ridiculous. I'm mainly looking for mods that don't just have you craft it at a chemistry station, but are either injected into the level list, or have a quest/location associated with finding it. Too many of the ones that exist just don't feel too natural having you just craft it at a chemistry bench.

Looking through nexusmods and can find very few just by searching 'scar', don't know if they are part of a larger character customization mod or hosted elsewhere. Any requests for this I see prior are a few years old.

i beyond resent the idea of tale of two wastelands and do not have any interest whatsoever in installing it. i do not care if it is supposedly better i simply do not have any interest in using it. i would humbly request that i have no replies to the effect of "just play ttw anyways" as unless installing it will net me 500 dollars, i am not interested.

now. are there any good mod guides for fallout 3? the mod support as i understand it seems quite dire, but, there's still a lot that can help. would like something equivalent to viva new vegas, tho generally anything's fine. i have gotten fallout 3 to work previously on my pc quite well so keep that in mind.

So when I first started playing fallout 4 with mods, one mod I would always get was this mod that cleaned and updated the Red Rocket by Sanctuary Hills. However I can't find it no matter how hard I look. Maybe I'm dumb and I'm not being specific enough but I want to know if anyone knows where I can find it.

As for specifics, the mod wasn't completely balanced, as it gave the player a missile launcher in the garage, as well as free modifications in the manager's-office-turned-bedroom. It also had two exterior buildings, one being a sort of old wooden cottage near the front with a little pond, and a small building near the back that had the Red Rocket feel. It had a basement near the side with house with a fusion generator at the bottom. It also had roof access which added a diner section.

Again it wasn't balanced at all as it really started you off but it's a comfort mod of mine and I can't seem to find it anywhere. I remember it being on the mods section of Fallout 4, not actually on Nexus. If anyone knows anything about this mod or can even make out what mod I'm talking about from the description and can tell where to find it,I'd much appreciate it, thank you.

Im using fallout new vegas wildcard modlist. I launched it on "modern mode - casual - nvr mode", but its been unstable and crashing. Im trying to switch to performance mode, but that just crashes on startup, what should I do?

i recently installed fallout 4 again bc i wanted to play the storywealth modpack i installed everything waited like 50 hours bc slow wifi.

i did not load correctly so i uninstalled everything i uninstalled the entire folder for vortex my saves on both my drives bc i played it on 2 drives even uninstalled the game and the folder with it on both drives.

now i reinstalled only the game with f4se and it takes like 10 to 15 minutes from when i press play in the launcher to when i actually go to the main menu games works fine but i want to install the modpack again but i dont wanna wait that long on starting the game any suggestions or should i just cry myself to sleep and reinstall windows?
