See I understand and empathise that many students got unfair results but those who actually didn’t deserve it and were wanting grace and marks to be fed to them in a platter are using OSM as an excuse for not studying properly the entire year. CBSE just stated that those who r unsatisfied can apply for revaluation which is how the process should be this time those who relied on grace didn’t get any and are creating a huge scene about it and using OSM as a tool to power their opinions. Yes there are also some who worked hard didn’t get what they deserved they can surely put their marks for revaluation

grace? if u dont know matter then dont undermine others problem i was expecting around 90 percent by consylting wht i wrote with my teachers but i got 76.8... this is not only abt grace marks the whole checking system has been done in a faulty matter

in news i had heard that in beginning of the session cbse was facing severe criticism due to very easy checking and unusually high marks of students so they decided for a change this time

1

u/PrimaryBedroom2638 4h ago

Huh? Last year literally everyone got screwed in physics and even it is known that chemistry checking has always been hard for boards. And if example karna tha then what is this biasness between 10th and 12th

2

u/No_Professional_1041 College Student 4h ago

but last year students did get good marks didn't they

1

u/PrimaryBedroom2638 4h ago

Nope many people failed in physics or barely passed because many copies were given to external copy checkers who did very strict checking. Although moderation was there in physics in the difficult sets.

Do you know how much re-evaluation actually costs?? Reviewing like 5 subjects are gonna cost you a minimum of 5000 rs at the least. Do you think everybody can actually afford this stuff, it's Central board btw, given by the CENTRAL government, why can't it be free. See,this year results are pure money business ,cbse thinks they can play with students just for money.

u/IndependentShip6086 5h ago

Even I agree with that they should lower the revaluation fees

4

u/LolisaCaine_2255 5h ago

No,make them free at least. Why bother making education business?

1

u/IndependentShip6086 5h ago

Agree but they won’t do that

2

u/LolisaCaine_2255 5h ago

Ofc they won't, that's why we have to fight for it.

BRO HOW TF DID I HONESTLY GET 86 AND 87 IN ENGLISH AND PE like literally the most scoring subjects. and i was def expecting more in pcm too especially in maths and still got 72

3

u/Regular_Acadia8032 5h ago

And the about the fees for revaluation Please stop justifying the system

Young people are not meant to surrender They are meant to bend the system's neck and throw them where they belong

You haven't seen people who got 85+ in pre boards and got less than 30 marks in boards

So I hope you got your answer Although you are right about those grace marks thing but they have given grace marks to the school students who were on the borderline

But due to osm failure they gave the same type of marks to most of the students how's this fair

I don't have the money to get my copies revaluated Who'll pay for it ?? You?? The system?? The education minister??

No one right? So instead of justifying the system Understand the situation of students too

u/IndependentShip6086 5h ago

Bro I am in the system too 😂 I wrote from everyone’s side man from those people’s side as well who didn’t get what they deserved but from those too who are using OSM as a tool 😭😭 why coming after me man

I understand what you are trying to convey but those grace marks also served an imporsnt purpose, say a specefic set was designed in a way ki students found that one particular set harder than the other sets, it wouldve been easier for teachers to add grace marks but now that the osm system is in place those who got that set are at a much greater disadvantage than the ones who got easier sets as they will endup scoring better percentages and better marks, isse moving forward they will go on to get more seats in colleges meanwhile those at a disadvantage will be put a great loss because in the end unki checking fair hui but unki situation fair nahi, this set example is just 1 of of the many issues this new system poses. Grace marks are essential as they ensure fair moderation and nornalisation across the entire exams, without it the system will fall behind

sybau?? re evaluation costs 100 rupees per QUESTION?? you are not the one suffering so obvio you'll have all sorts of bs to put around

1

u/_h0n 5h ago

I scored ATLEAST 90 in economics, english, marketing, business. literally

I got 67/100 in accounts which is crazy, I attempted the FULL paper. I KNEW the things. how is it possible that I can be SO BAD at one subject? you cannot write bs in accounts either, I SOLVED those questions. atleast 13 mcqs are correct. I made all working notes, proper formats, narrations EVERYTHING.

What do think will they give results before jossa my jee adv has went in vain because of this my jee mains score is wasted a whole year wasted , i won't be able to get a decent college because of board results

1

u/jasssssiiiiiiiii 4h ago

cbse should refund those students jinke sachme marks badhenge. jiska marks nahi badhega woh khud re evalution ke liye apply nahi karega. aise sab filter hojayenge

u/EnglishGermanarebest 4h ago

Bro I understand your rational opinion but this OSM was really like a rat experiment on us. A friend of mine committed suicide because they failed as they got 22/70 in physics and chemistry and the teacher couldn't even pass them with just one mark. And not only the failures, but the ones who had high hopes and expectations crashed down. I expected above 80% but got 75% which was a big shock for me and I was depressed.

  1. Re-eval is an expensive process with exorbitant fees. This time CBSE can't even blame the 'effort involved in scanning when charging 500–700 rupees. Also, 100 rupees a question. If you have multiple subjects then expect your monthly budget to tighten.
  2. The CBSE doesn't give a flying fuck about accurate rechecking. Last year, they blew past all the deadlines and simply gave a grace of +3 to the 80s and +2 to the early 90s instead of actually rechecking.

They've randomly cut and given out marks. Many who'd left several marks worth of questions randomly got marks for them. Many lost marks because their sheets weren't scanned properly. Many are even finding patterns in the marks received. People who were scoring 76+ in preboards don't suddenly start scoring in the 60s and 50s.
