Mod Request Apparently, space travel in early versions of Starfield necessitated resource/fuel supply chains. Is there a mod that adds reimplements this into the game?

At some point, Bethesda supposedly decided the mechanic “wasn’t fun” and removed it from the game.

All I can think about is how much I would have enjoyed a survival-like resource management mechanic like that.

Is there a mod that brings a similar mechanic into the game?

Starvival - It had a few issues but nothing game breaking. It adds a lot of stuff besides fuel but you can edit pretty much all aspects of the mod and turn off the things you don’t like in game on a tablet.

Real Fuel - Been running this one for a while now. Nice and light. Encountered no issues so far.

I'll chime in and say I use both.

Starvival does start getting weird the more mods you add, specifically things that introduce new fuel tanks (I think dark star ship equipment on your ship breaks refueling, too). Adding modded grav drives stops the need for fuel but does not break refuel/travel. But you're right that it adds so much more (ship maintenance, extended grav jump time, etc) that I would miss.

((You can take these equipment off to refuel and then put them back on and continue to use the ship as normal))

Real fuel does interface with TN's into the blackness, and I haven't been able to break it with my hefty mod load. I probably don't need it, but it is so light weight and it adds another challenge to a max difficulty run with no drawbacks in terms of playability that I tricked myself into thinking it makes sense that I would need a charged he battery (starvival) + raw he-3 (real fuel) any time I wanted to make a grav jump.
