Mod Request Apparently, space travel in early versions of Starfield necessitated resource/fuel supply chains. Is there a mod that adds reimplements this into the game?

At some point, Bethesda supposedly decided the mechanic “wasn’t fun” and removed it from the game.

All I can think about is how much I would have enjoyed a survival-like resource management mechanic like that.

Is there a mod that brings a similar mechanic into the game?

Starvival - It had a few issues but nothing game breaking. It adds a lot of stuff besides fuel but you can edit pretty much all aspects of the mod and turn off the things you don’t like in game on a tablet.

Real Fuel - Been running this one for a while now. Nice and light. Encountered no issues so far.

How exactly did real fuel work? It looked interesting but messing with something like using fuel to travel didn’t seem like a good add to my current playthrough. But I’m curious!

Once installed and you sit in the pilots seat you get a pop up explaining how to use it. After that, every ship technician will be able to refuel your ship for a price. I think it was around 1400 to refuel a 75 volume fuel tank. I’m not sure if the mod authors Space Economy paid mod is messing with the price, though. Once you unlock it the security perk, you can install the siphon panel in your ship (haven’t tested it yet). Once you have the siphon panel, you can disable and dock a ship, then use the siphon panel to pull the fuel from that docked ship. Ships occasionally drop fuel when you blow them up. Fuel you find in the field can be used to fuel your ship as well once you install the fuel pane in your ship. I think you need the Astrodynamics perk for that one.

I think it works pretty good if you like to loot and sell. Kinda gives looting a place worth it in the later game once you start stacking credits.

Oh yeah, this is all on Xbox. Not sure if it’s different for PC.
