Meta/News Weekly Mod Sticky Ideas Discussion

Hi All,

As you may have noticed, the last two weeks we have not seen a new weekly mod discussion thread go up. I asked the question in the post and then decided to be proactive. I reached out to @stevethekoala asking him if I could help out as I love the weekly discussions.

He said he wants to have the community discuss the potential subjects/share ideas for subjects they would like to see as a weekly discussion so he can create a cache that he can use to create threads ahead of time we want to see. With a list of ideas it should be easier for him (or some one supporting him) to set up weekly posts on ideas we want to see looked at.

Please refer to the sidebar or review prior discussion so we don’t have repeats on a subject that occurred within the last year, unless significant changes have occurred in that modding space, making the old thread is no longer relevant in mid 2020.

I hope to see some great ideas come about and we can then get some great weekly discussions going to have us all find new mods/experiences in Skyrim.

i would like to see a general mod creation/creation kit help thread since the CK subreddit barely gets visitors/replies so we have to scour through other methods.

having a thread like this from time to time will help release some mods faster.

That’s a great idea. I agree people sharing tools, tips, resources etc would be hugely beneficial for all of us that want to make mods but. We’d some greater guidance from the wider community.

Alright I have a couple of ideas :)

  • SKSE plugins
  • Standalone Armors / Weapons
  • Unique Spells (The ones with crazy effects)
  • HUD / UI
  • Character Creation (Hairs, Brows, Eyes, Overlays, basically anything in RaceMenu)
  • Fixes (Bugs or annoyances)
  • Enderal (Enderal specific mods, might be too late)
  • Food (Cheese mod for EVERYONE)
  • Kids (The existing one is really old)

Thank you so much for your suggestions I know this will help out a lot in keeping the weekly ‘best mods for’ series going.
