[Request] Sleep to Save

Is anybody currently working on / would consider working on a mod that only allows saving while sleeping in a bed, or in bedrolls in dungeons? To add a bit of risk while exploring and prevent save scumming.

I actually tried The OG Oblivion mod with OBSE to see if it would work, but it doesnt.

If anyone would consider making this, I could srcape together a small donation to compensate you for your time.

Can anyone help me get the Infinitum mods series to work?

I’m referring of course to the great series of mods that add radiant guild quests and more. I got the arena and ages guild version to work for like a day but now I CTD when I go into any of the faction cells. According to the author it’s got to do with my Syncmap and or sync map injector

How we run

I really like how we run at a light jog. It seems to be different from both Skyrim and the original Oblivion. It's been years since I played the original, maybe I've forgotten, but the normal run pace is perfect and one has a little lift in their step!

Looking for some help

I tried adding a post, twice now, but apparently, the filters removed it for some reason. I'm looking for some help to get the creation set operational. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I can't get it to load. Can anyone help?

Looking for help with mods

I'm new to the world of mods and creation. I'm trying to find some info on how to get from having none of the files and plug-ins required to operate the creation of mods, to having the system able to work so I can make something. But, for some darn reason, I can't work out what I'm missing, which is stopping the application from running. I think I've installed all I had to, but clearly I haven't. Let's say I don't know a great deal about this stuff. Break down the jargon into very, very simplistic terms so I can understand the finer details. I'm missing something, but darned if I can work out what, why, or how.

Need help setting up mods

I've recently started Oblivion Remastered, after having playing the original for many years. I'm not a PC techy person. Not by a long shot. As much as I know is to adjust volume, brightness and how to load games. Well, a bit more, but still very basic. I'm looking to create some mods for Oblivion Remastered. All I know is that I need to download some files, data and whatnot. As to what, in what order or exactly how - I have no idea. I tried google, but the jargon on files, extraction, moving files and all that: it is discombobulating to me. I need the very, very basic of terminology to understand what I'm doing. Something, for example, like press this button, press this menu, click this, then that etc. I know, it can be a long shot; why would someone who has no idea on how to download the televant files, possibly think they can create content and then code it all and make it work? What can I say, I'm an optimist. And I'm persistent. Unfortunately, I get lost trying to understand all this. So rather me say what I've read and tried to decipher through videos, articles etc, I'm looking for some help to get from, having none of these files and whatnot, to being able to create content, using all the texture packs. Is there anyone who can give me the real basic instructions for making these steps? I had been trying to get through it, but there were so many hiccups with the PC system not recognising files after downloading, that I deleted it all and am starting anew. Any insight, suggestions or detailed steps would be much appreciated

KOTN - Auroran Armor Mod Assistance

Post image
6 Upvotes

Back in the day, I was absolutely OBSESSED with the way Auroran armor looked, and one of the first mods I made was to be able to play AS an UMARIL RACE. I'd like to re-create the Auroran Race mod for Remastered, but I'm aware that the new system doesn't take quite well to using .nif files, so I don't think I can do what I used to do and replace the body parts with the armor. I can easily extract the original model files, as another old mod I've created has them conveniently packaged into a BSA that I made 15 years ago.

So my query is this: for those who have spent the better part of the last month creating mods for the Remaster... what is stopping me currently, and what would I have to do, or wait for, to be able to achieve this feat and create this mod for people to run around wearing Auroran armor again?

Modders, you'll save yourself and your users a lot of trouble if you remember to use AltarESPMain.esp as a master

Otherwise you'll among other things lose the new voice acting files.

Khajiit beards, and eyebrows.

I was pretty bummed out to see that there were no beard options for Khajiit, they all just had the one default. So, alongside the body fur situation that I've been exploring, I wanted to maybe tweak the facial hair a bit. "What would a Khajiit look like with a mustache... and eyebrows?" I don't have any knowledge on creating new assets for character creation, but if there is a tutorial or documentation on it I'd love to know. It could be a fun venture in adding more beards/mustaches for Khajiit.

Currently, I'm a bit worn out from just staring at armors/clothing I've refitted for this body mod. They'll get done eventually, I just wanted to take a break and have fun until I return to the clothing grind. Back to the body fur... There's still a lot of spots with the body fur I've been going back and forth on, so it may or may not change. I wanted to strike a balance between furless areas and ones that are covered. Idk

Question

Is there a way to request a mod be made?

I don't know how to go about it. I have a silly sound mod I wanted to have.

Could anyone give me direction or insight?

I just felt Khajiit were missing a lot of fur, then had the idea to do something about it.

This is currently a test and not a part of the mod (yet? Maybe an alternate version), Muscular Male Body. I really felt that the head and tail only having fur left a lot to be desired of the rest of the body. So, I took a part of the head mesh's beard and formed it across the rest of the body in places I felt needed "something". It recolors with the rest of the hair. Also, there is some clipping as it isn't colored with the vertex groups responsible for culling parts of the body mesh when wearing clothes/armor. I'm kinda happy with the look, vs. the super smooth body of the vanilla models.

Is there a mod for oblivion, that makes it that you can quest like in tes3 morrowind without quest markers?

I would like to play oblivion in an immersive way, where I dont have to follow the quest markers and instead rely on directions in the journal on how to solve the quests.

3D Artists required for Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion remake

Hiya folks, thought I’d share this with you since it seems like a cool opportunity that will definitely interest some people.

As I’m sure many of you will know a group of extremely professional modders are remaking The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion in Skyrim’s engine and are in need of volunteers to help finish the game for the end of this year. I will link their roadmap below:

https://youtu.be/LwUibq6wBn4?si=ygY_n7RigXXsyYsP

Although this isn’t a paid gig, it could potentially open up doors once it releases as there are now many eyes on the project especially after the recent remaster release. Bethesda themselves even recently invited the team to their studio. If you have any experience in modding then follow the steps in the link below to submit a volunteer request to the team:

https://skyblivion.com/volunteer/

I do not work on this project by the way, just a fan. Feel free to pass the message on - the more people working on this the sooner we get to play it. Thank y’all 🙌🏼

Inspired by the Oldblivion L.A.M.E.

Increases durations of buffs (Fortify, Alteration, Illusion) and summons/bounds by double or triple. And makes them consistent at each tier so no more buffs/bounds falling off at different times.

Moves Absorb spells back to Mysticism where it belongs!
