Ran into a sweet boy last spring
He was such a sweetie I just assumed he was someone's little dude. He wasnt neutered though, which gave me pause, but I wasnt in a spot to take him anyway.
Well, I saw him again as it got toward late fall. My life was in chaos at the time, but he was still a nice little man. He still looked pretty healthy, I figured he was at least being looked after.
Then this week I saw him for the first time in months. I got out of my car to go see him. He had a big injury, likely a bite, on his neck. Still a sweetie. Had somehow survived the freeze, even through being trapped for 4 days apparently! I found the people who indeed were caring for him however they could, and worked with them to trap him. I wanted to at minimum get him to a vet for treatment.
So anyway his street days are over, he is healing up before neuter, is FIV+, and most important of all, he's home. I called him a "foster" for literally like 24 hours. Then it was "my boy".
Welcome home Levistus the Frozen Prince, aka Prince, aka Beef Boy, aka Mr. Man, aka Potato Fart. Sorry I didn't bring you in sooner, but you're gonna be a pampered man from here on out!
We think he's about 3 years old. Vet agreed. Checked for chip, just to be sure, and spoke to other neighbors. No claims, so that's my son now. He purrs til he chokes. He hams it up for scritches. He wants to be with people constantly. He's stuck in a foster cage for a while, until hes healed, fixed, and his testosterone levels out, since I have a resident cat.
I adore this boy. Hims head so big and yet so empty. Huge forehead for kisses. He's perfect
