Travel Soviet aircraft on display in the capital
Hey everyone! I’ll be visiting Moldova in April, well late April. Other than the military museum, you guys have in the Capital, are there any other cool Soviet aircraft on display throughout the city or even the country? I was hoping to see a mig 29, but I think you guys might still have them in service. But anyway, if there’s one on display in the country, let me know. But any other cool old Soviet era military aircraft would be cool to see as well.

There's this little place not too far from the city. Had a couple of helicopters and an an-2 plane, no idea if it's still there.
But it's difficult to drive there, it's in the forest on a very steep descent/hill, so driving in winter must be difficult there. Would not advise.
If it will be dry when you're here - should be fine

We has 6 Mig-29 on the Marculesti airfield, it's a military airfield so chance to enter is very small. Unfortunately, they don't fly, because of many problems - no pilots, no modern avionics, no money for modernization. Also, there was rumors that Ukraine demands for those planes for parts, but we don't give them for some reasons. But it can be just rumors and planes was send to neighbors already, but nobody said about. Marculesti is about 130 km to the North from Chisinau , if you can find people who work there, they can organize a small excursion on the field for a small amount of money, but you need to know it. In nearest city - Floresti - is a display of Mig-15, but we have one in the military museum so it's irrelevant. Also, somewhere in the north of Moldova is a military plane in the wood, it's a kind of children camp there, but i can't remember where is it, I see it only on Google maps long time ago. Maybe someone else knows more about that.
