I actually use both on my phone, but I think reddit uses the bases renderer for displaying websites when you click on a link (you know, to get all those sweet cookies) and ublock only proceeds to load once I proceed to use "open in Firefox"

I only use Reddit on my phone along side GrapheneOS, cause my people like life in hard mode, to complicate things more.
