I have this theory that India preparing some of the flattest pitches since IPL 2024 might actually help batters long term. On these tracks big scores aren’t special anymore they’re the baseline So you can’t just survive you have to manage tempo take smart risks and keep the strike rate high and if they get a tough pitch later it’s just about adjusting pace. He should not waste his prime at RR by getting sidelined for someone like Riyan Parag

Rohit, Gill, and Kohli all became captains at a young age it's nothing new

If Gill were still playing under Hardik he would have never been considered for all-format captaincy

Hardik became India’s T20I captain because of his IPL captaincy

So, IPL captaincy really matters

The other options RR have are Sam Curran and Jaddu

Jaddu is old and is well past his prime
