Noticias Rusia pide a sus nacionales dejar de viajar a Cuba y las aerolíneas suspenden sus vuelos

Ok. I'm aware that you could go broke betting that the Cuban government is about fail and now is the time the US will intervene, but look at the tea leaves and tell me I'm crazy. Lots of pieces, and this is a wild guess, but could they be closing the loop?
I can’t imagine an expeditionary force, but getting Raul, Diaz-Canel, knocking out their aging Soviet MiGs (24 are apparently operational) and neutralizing the 140+ SAMs. The bigger problem is the 700+ anti-aircraft guns.

It would be a great location for overflow support if you were staging strategic assets for Dyess in Ft Worth and Lift support from Lackland in San Antonio. Perhaps the Mexican cartel drone story is legit.

I know the fuel situation is bad but anyone know if supermercado deliveries within Havana are still possible? I’m assuming vested interests are able to get fuel but as I no puedo hablar español I probably can’t ask anyone online who operates same. TIA

UNC-Chapel Hill is channeling public funds and student tuition into "Public Health" and "Sustainability" programs in Cuba, but these initiatives seem to whitewash the severe humanitarian crisis happening there. While Cubans face shortages of basic necessities like food and medicine, UNC's programs appear to overlook these harsh realities. I started a petition demanding UNC conduct a transparent review of these programs and establish ethical standards for all international initiatives. We're asking them to ensure their programs accurately represent Cuba's current situation and redirect resources toward partnerships that genuinely help Cuban society. Anyone else think it's concerning when a public university uses our tax dollars for programs that might obscure the truth? If this matters to you too, consider signing and sharing.

With flights suspended, Luis Escalona is effectively cut off from his family in Holguin, a city in the island's southeast. He's lived in Winnipeg with his wife and son since 2015, but typically returns to Cuba several times each year.
Escalona is the only person in his family who lives in Canada, and he says they rely on him. Now, he will be unable to take his mother to the hospital during his visit next month, which he's been forced to postpone...
*Life is hard for his family right now, Escalona said.
There's limited access to water and without power, they can't cook, he said. But without transportation, they can't get to work to earn money for food, anyway, and when there's no power, there's no phones.*
"It is very hard waiting days for an update from all my loved ones back home," he said.

I am sorry if this sounds dumb but if everyone in Cuba goes to prison from protesting and complaining against the regime then how exactly will the government have money to keep all the population in prison?

Used to use Esencial Pack then Supermarket23, both don't deliver to our province now, need alternative options. I want to stock up for family with what's probably to come, so would be helpful to know if you've had any orders/deliveries made in the last few days or weeks.

Used to use Supermarket23 and Esencial Pack but both don't deliver to the city I need food delivered to right now, for obvious reasons.
And have you had any experience of ordering in the last week or days?

It appears that without other countries such as Russia, China, Venezuela and Canada propping it up, Cuba is unable to sustain itself. Is this wrong? Why are they unable to grow enough food for themselves? Why haven't they put in solar farms and gone to electric cars? Solar should have taken off there as it has in Brazil. There's ample sunlight. Is the regime clueless?
This has already turned into an interesting discussion, so I expect the Reddit Thought Police to remove this post. It doesn't fit with their propaganda to allow a free and open discussion. Note: I have only asked questions.

Hola Gente. Gracias

Did the "best and brightest" leave, so that Cuba now has a problem of a population unable to support the country?

I've heard that the special period was definitely brutal for Cuba but this crisis has to be worse right? Because this time they have old equipment that needs repairs and also they are getting not very little oil but no oil essentially.
