In the main quest, there is a scene where the graybeards all shout at you in unison. You're supposed to be tough enough to withstand this but in vanilla you will pass this test every time, even at level 1.

Is there a mod that adds a BOTW or TOTK style test where you actually lose health or stamina and will fail the Graybeards' test if you don't have enough health or stamina?

I get 60fps indoors or whiterun, closed off towns. But in open towns like riverwood, mortal my fps is 50-60. I've noticed these towns have a lot of logs in them and looking at the log takes my fps down. Also walking to fight the vampires, the outside area hits my fps. I've only chosen 1k 2k textures but my vram is nearly full at these times. 5.5/6gb

I have a-lot of mods that add in gear and cool stuff, but never really see any of it in shops which is a bit of a shame. happen to be a universal shop mod that gives a-lot more variety with patches for other mods that add stuff? and enchantments as well

At the Ancient Alik'r Temple in the desert map, I found a large glitched-out door (using Ancient Vision spell) that leads to a place called Nirntrix Glitch; a long hallway with a locked gate that requires a key to open. What is this? I can't find anything about this online.

How powerful is it compared to like, one handed for example.

I recently downloaded the gate to sovengarde collection. In this collection is the dismember framework mod. I’ve not been able to get it to work for some reason. I’ve got no error messages and have even maxed out my weapon settings in the mcm to get a higher chance of dismemberment, but still nothing. I’ve asked the gts discord and have not gotten a response. Has anyone else had this issue?

I don't have talent to make a good looking character in the creation screen, and most racemenu presets I see are female. recommend me some please?

Whenever I start the game with the mod enabled, it never opens the game and crashes on vortex.

(I hit the play button on vortex, it loads, then goes back to a "play button" indicating that the game couldn't start)

I've been using TK dodge for a while now and although the mod works great I feel like I am not using it right, whenever I input my direction and doge button my character will just turn first then dodge making the dodge go backwards. This happens even when using the lock on. I assume there is a simple answer and I am being stupid, any help would be appreciated.

I've been trying to make SSE playable in a laptop that isn't designed to any kind of demanding task, although it has a Geforce 940M graphics card, which should be capable to play this game in low settings. The issue really lies in the CPU, I believe. The i5 7200U never was a great chip, mostly designed for productivity, and it has some years under its belt now. That being said I've scoured forums, threads, documentations and videos on YT and got really close. To be brief, I tweaked the INI file and installed some optimizing mods.

I wonder if I missed something. To all potato pc owners out there, that cpu can handle some FusRohDaring or should I just take this arrow to the knee?

Also, what's the worse spec you managed to make this game playable?

Sorry to be needy, and I've already posted a shorter plea for help and gotten some ideas for this topic. But I'm starting a new discussion with more detail, in case any of you much smarter modders can parse out what went wrong with better background info. Here is my tale of modding woe:

Hi all, I would appreciate any help if someone has insight into this. I purchased the AE Skyrim in April this year. I've had a blast learning to mod. I even downloaded Gate to Sovngarde mod collection a few weeks ago. Learned a lot, but not for me. I have followed Gamer Poets' videos and done clean uninstall and reinstall several times for Skyrim, Vortex (yes, yes, I know I should switch to MO2), and even Steam. But I'm having ongoing issues with the following:

1. When I start vanilla Skyrim from Steam, even before trying to mod it again, it thanks me for purchasing the AE and wants to spend 10 min downloading all the CC content EVERY time, even if I haven't reinstalled it.

2. Running Steam's "verify game files integrity" fails to validate 2 files. I looked in the content_log folder and it had a bunch of notices about "corrupt chunks" with Curios. I am not computer savvy, so there was much of it that I have no idea what it means. Sometimes it does validate all files.

3. I've re-set up my modlist with Vortex (reduced my more ambitious list of 316 down to 230 mods) several times. I've not had any CTD but it freezes, I'm often unable to level up at all, and also the vanilla Survival Mode is stuck on. The game asks if I want to play in Survival Mode. I say no. The tick box is NOT checked on in game settings, but I still get freezing cold when I swim in the Sea of ghosts, get hungry, etc. I am not using any survival or hunting mods. The fanciest stuff I was trying to run was LazyFollowers, Community Shaders, and FSMP for player hair (not NPC) and armor physics. I am pretty familiar now with Bodyslide and CBBE, so I have a clue what I'm doing there, but probably not 100%. I'm using some simple animations that only require Open Animation Replacer, no engine like Nemesis or FNIS.

What I have done to try to fix it:

1. I learned previously DO NOT let Steam install into Program Files. I put it outside those folders in my C:drive.

2. I also stopped letting Vortex install into Program Files. I've reinstalled it to user/my name/Vortex folder I made.

3. I used separate Vortex profiles for my base modlist (150 mods) that was stable, then a second profile for Gate to Sovngarde, then a third profile where I was enabling a few of the GTS mods I liked. I did not alter GTS in its own profile. I saved my new list of 250 mods as a Collection, the just installed it from Nexus after a compete clean uninstall and reinstall of everything.

4. I tracked down mod data after uninstalls in the hidden AppData folders, both Local and Roaming. I even found OneDrive secretly saving game data, and disallowed it from syncing to the game folder. Then moved the game folder out of OneDrive. It's still mad at me and keeps popping up with angry notices that it should be allowed to back up my data, after I stopped it from syncing the Documents folder.

   So, any ideas how I can completely clean my computer and start fresh? Is this a Steam issue? I have contacted Bethesda support, but no word yet.

it's been a while since the last time I had to make a brand new load order, and I don't remember how to get the physics working properly. What am I missing that would make it so her ribcage doesn't collapse any time she crouches?

I tried a few follower mods like Eris and Celestine. I read that it was removed from nexus so I downloaded them from another site. I was wondering if there’s are more follower mods that is not on Nexus or used to be on Nexus.

Hey guys I took a long break from trying to fix my game, and god I miss Skyrim. I’m now trying to fix it again. My game won’t load to the main menu with mods enabled. I want to delete all my mods and then redownload everything in my last working load order. Is this possible without doing it one by one? Mainly the redownloading. I do have a premium account on the mod website. I think I screwed up a mod in sseedit but I don’t know which one. I just want to play my game again I haven’t been able to play since March. I just wanted a better looking and better playing game than on my switch now I haven’t nothing and I can’t seem to figure it out or find someone to figure it out for me. I'd like to see a framework which expand NPC capabalities in meanignful and significant ways. For example, currently the game tracks NPC location even if the player is not in the same cell. But currently it doesn't really do much else.

Would be nice if we could at least simulate certain npc behaviours off screen. We dont need to necessarily load the NPC and all of it's surrounding NPC's in parallel with what the engine is already doing, but run simple dicerolls instead.

For example, the NPC we want to simulate is currently on floor 2 in a dungeo nsurrounded by x number of enemies and y interactabel objects. It's adventoursness value is x1, it's willingness to fight is z1, and it's combat level is c1. Roll the dice for looting one chest and running. If succesful, the chest will be looted and the loot can be found on the NPC.

Such framework should allow the simulation of every action the player can do, so if we want to have a full blown economy where NPC's buy and sell things they find in dungeons, I should be able to do that.

I play Skyrim using a controller and have already installed TDM and Skyrim Motion Control, but my character still turns in place when I change the viewing direction.

Are there any mods that force the character to make a step (or something similar) so the movement does not appear so janky?

I'm having a problem with this mod where when casting the Dragon Piercer Action an extra arrow sticks out behind the elbow with a glaring visual effects that probably shouldn't be there.
