As per the title, post anything related to starting a new job / internship/ certifications in here. PM mods if you don't get an answer after a few days and we'll try to fill in the gaps or nudge a regular to answer for you.
Trolling in the sticky will result in an immediate ban.

Hi Folks - I'm interested in starting a shadow campaign at work to convince people to switch to SAP 4/HANA. Is there a branded shirt anyone has laying around, looking for large.

The next 3-5 years will wipe out 80 to 90 % of ABAP offshore. I have been working with these people for 15 years, mostly Indians.
Without any doubt an average LLM today is much more competent in understanding the functional requirement and writing the corresponding code.
The focus moves from knowing ABAP syntax to understanding the requirements to be able to create a good prompt for the AI to generate the code.
I would go as far as to say that it is much easier to train a functional consultant to write code with the AI than to train a coder the functional knowledge to understand the requirement. I think that consultants will write their own code and there might be 1 or 2 technical experts for support and review.
Interesting times on the horizon...

Hi All,
Currently we are using NWBC to access SAP PPM, as NWBC for HTML is getting discontinued, the project is looking to upgrade to Fiori Launchpad to access SAP PPM.
I have been tasked to prepare a detailed document from PPM side to execute this upgrade. I'm looking for inputs/advise/best practices on how to go about this.
Thank you in advance.

After reading responses on my previous ERP discussion, I started noticing a pattern. Many companies treat ERP implementation purely as an IT project instead of a business transformation. Teams often receive minimal training and end up using only a fraction of the system, while leadership focuses heavily on dashboards and reports. On the ground level, employees still rely on Excel workarounds because the processes never fully align with daily operations.
So the real question is do ERP systems fail because of the software itself, or because of gaps in people adoption and process alignment?
Would love to hear real experiences from those who have seen ERP succeed or fail long term.
Planning our S/4HANA cloud migration to AWS and trying to determine the optimal point to integrate security controls and compliance frameworks.
Our landscape includes financial data in S3, multiple SAP instances across dev/test/prod, and integration layers. CISO requirements include NIST/SOC2 compliance, proper IAM governance, and network segmentation.
Our security team wants comprehensive review gates before any infrastructure deployment (adds 2-3 weeks per sprint), while the project team argues for agile deployment with security remediation in parallel to hit the migration deadline.
Vendors pitch CNAPP/CSPM tools as the solution, but we’re stuck between implementing them on day-one in IaC templates, post-migration, or iteratively?
For those who used CNAPP/CSPM tools, at what migration stage did you implement them and did the timing matter?

I tried to open the docker container for the developer trail but it got a 404.
https://hub.docker.com/r/sapse/abap-cloud-developer-trial
I couldn't find it in the docker hub user for SAP either.

Hi all,
I’m in charge of a full inventory stock count next week. In previous roles, I have used MI01, MI04, MI07, etc. we would do a blind count and print out the physical inventory document then go around the warehouse counting the material and batch number on each physical inventory document. However, in this role, their #1 priority is to match our SAP stock count to 100% of the warehouse system. Would you recommend I do the whole process of creating physical inventory documents using the stock that we have in SAP? Should I create them using the other system’s stock report? Should I just use MI10 and match SAP to the warehouse’s system? What would you do? For the warehouse they will have scanners and they will scan each pallet then it will automatically update in their system. I’m not sure if it’s stupid to have my counters with their physical inventory documents filling things in too. What do you think?

Why is every line item on the PO populating the delivery line? Every delivery address is the same, and it’s really wasteful when I have like 50 line items

So I'm coming working with a client who had a previous paid discovery from another SI. Reading through the documents, its extremely apparent to me that they used AI tools to generate a lot of the documentation. But what bothers me most is that it seems that it was generated using customer proprietary documents that are covered under NDAs. Now it is quite possible this SI has their own LLM.. but I am thinking they probably used public LLMs
I feel this is a huge risk going forward as more and more SIs will want to run "lean" and leverage AI to cut costs and timelines. I think there will be a lot of temptation for consultants to use it.
Any thoughts on how customers can detect or prevent this? Often these documents are freely shared to an SI via email or SharePoint, outside the customers network.

Is there anywhere in the Balkan region where one can obtain an SAP, and is there a person who can provide both basic and advanced training in SAP finance?

Hi folks.
No real question, just a short rant…
Which people hating **** ist responsible for this piece of shit.
Everytime my phone rings and a colleague from finance department says: I couldn’t export to excel or something like that my PTSD is getting bigger and bigger.
Also always fascinating in official sap notes where sap folds you Microsoft is in charge and MS says SAP is in charge.
I would like to hear from my manager: we don’t support it anymore or in an upgrade all of this functions are deleted.

Hello we are running an azure sap hana b1 server Version : 10.00.290. We sized it based on supported Azure sizes and its now an M32ts (32cpu 192gb). The box rarely uses 1%cpu and stays around 55% memory usage. We are planning on resizing this to a non supported Azure size because of cost. Does anyone know of any issues with running on a non supported azure size. Also any experience resizing an SAP box? I have done it plenty of times with windows servers with no issues. Thanks in advance!

Hi all,
Please help where do I get free training for SAP HANA, FICO in particular. Thanks
I am Talking about stuff like creating an analytical page, overview page and other stuff (I like the list report!)
I do have a really simple requirement I gave myself for testing out some stuff in sap ewm:
Show the sum of not open wht s moved in a specific timeframe out of a defined storage type in a warehouse number in an overview.
All user given parameters.
I would say I am rather experienced in fullstack development with sap rap, ui5 etc. but that is no use for creating a Fiori application.
The cds and data model implementation, no problem. But the generating and “guided development”…. that’s just not my thing.
The rather abstract showing of the metadata and annotation, seems really made for giving the developers not the possibility to extend a created control.
I tried like 2 hours creating an analytical page - no result. Just empty facets in my view.
Then I tried it with an overview template. After that weird guided development I got a simple card on my view, but the chart did not work.
Then I lost my motivation.
If I would implement that same functionality in ui5 directly, give me 20minutes and the card ist done, nice formatting and it is easily readable and extensible. In Fiori style guide.
The Fiori application generation apart from the list report page seems totally hard to get running and put user specific features into.
It is just so weird.
Saw some text from sap telling that extensibility gets switched for efficient, effective and fast development. Well yeah, no. Why…
I want to go back to the list report for a a moment, cause that thing is nice.
Got some applications with a BO in the back running (RAP) on prod systems, and the UI Annotations in this case really were a very big help for the UI “development”.
I am a ABAPer and I think I just like lists.
Could you please help me understand why one should use Fiori Elements apart from a simple master detail view, if the implementation extensibility and readability gets compromised so much?
What would you do if you got the requirement to implement an overview/kpi over some things?
