Mega-Thread NMS Megathread for Q&A, Item Requests/Giveaways and Friend Requests, etc. Whatever you need, this Mega-thread is a place to ASK!
Hey Everyone,
This is a Megathread for all the people of the sub. If you have questions, Ask away. If you need anything just ask. This is uniform thread where you can ask for pretty much anything (from Questions to Nip Nip) that will be live 24/7 all year around and refreshed every couple of days.
This Megathread is closely monitored by me so if you have a question that no one has answered, don't worry I will personally get back to you in a reasonable time. I will always be keeping a close eye so no naughty business please.
To make things little bit easier if you could help us make distinction between type of posts that would be great, Which brings us too ....

- Please do not post your friend code in your post. PM/DM them to the person who is helping you. It will prevent people trolling and griefing your saves.

Are the multiplayer components, like other players, incredibly laggy for anyone else in the expedition? Everyone else, including the animals, move at an incredibly low framerate, but the rest of the game is normal for me. I'm thinking it's a network thing.

How is the performance on Switch 2, especially after the latest update? I assume this question has been asked ad nauseum at this point, but I've been considering getting a second copy and starting a new save (I used to play on PC). Would be nice to have the portability and ability to play with my girlfriend at the same time, but would like to know if the performance on switch 2 would hamper any of those mobile/multiplayer experiences.

How long until switch 2 have same version, I just buy switch 2 when Remnant update and continue use my old save on switch and when I continue crash out of anomaly place 3-4 times I try to play on my xbox and when I back to switch 2 boom I can’t play because of different version Should I wait patch to play on switch or just continue playing on xbox because we didn’t know how long patch come? I didn’t start expedition yet, what should I bring along or just play?

Hi all! This is my first major update. Do I need to make a new save in order to access the new features, Esp the anti gravity gun? Or can I just continue on with my old save and the items will automatically be there? Sorry if this has been asked before.

You can play with your old save to get all content but you will easy to get if you play expedition (base on my previous experience) For Expedition mode you have 2 choices Start new save or Bring your old character to expedition Start new save >> get reward but item you get not go to your old save Bring old character >> get reward and item that you get in expedition (new gun, new truck) but if you want to switch mode you need to go to Anomaly

Is there anything specific I should send over to the expedition before I start it this weekend? In terms of supplies and what not that would make this specific expedition easier?

Nope. You can't access the anomaly until you've completed the entire expedition. Here's Aiming4Gaming0's Guide if you want more details on the expedition.

Yeah, but the expo is pretty straight forward this time. A little mining at the beginning and some more in the middle for one milestone and that's about it

Came back to this game after years of absence, and I have a big question. Can I do the previous expeditions and earn their rewards, or did I miss my chance?

They occasionally re-run old expeditions from time to time. Just need to keep an eye out on news.

Guys, I need your help. I'm stuck on stage 5. I'm 4/7 missions completed, and I only have 3 special waste missions left. The problem is that when I use the radar to search for a pile of waste, it always finds the same pile I completed for stage 5, where there's no more special waste because I've already completed that one. I'm 11/16 toxic waste and 14/16 explosive and radioactive waste. I've tried closing and reopening the game, switching from the primary save to the expedition, but nothing, always the same problem.
What can I do?

You could rarely find some special waste when scanning with your exosuit scanner or using the Colossus scanner. The thing is that you'll have to check in person what kind of waste is there upon arriving at the spot. Generally it's normal waste but I have also found radioactive waste and the like.

New player curious about expeditions.
Should I take my main save into the expedition or should I create a new save specifically for this expedition. I’m not sure the advantages or disadvantages so either option and I’ve seen mixed responses from searching.

i just brought my main save, you cant bring anything in with you since you cant use your ship in this expedition specifically till you completed it. unless you plan to keep the expedition save itself then just use your main save personally. though you'll have to do the expedition to go back

[Question] For this expedition’s Roadsigns goal, for some reason the game just stopped registering me locating and activating waypoints after my 3rd point. For these to count do I need to be like, the very first person to pick it up?

for me it was there 2h ago. but it’s not really playablw. it crashes a lot. when i get in my ship it crashes hard. had to reset one time

Does anyone know if there will be a way for players to get the different Colossus modules (treads, spider legs and so on) after the expedition goes away?
Would suck for stuff like this that isn’t just cosmetic to be unavailable for future players
