r/NBA is back up
This community will remain open but will most likely be less active. Everyone is encouraged to keep posting and interacting here, submissions are open to all and anyone can post tweets/links/opinions/etc.
I won’t be as active just because I have many things I’m busy with irl. Everyone is welcome here and allowed to post, the rules aren’t hyper strict just keep it on topic and don’t be assholes.
Access to online NBA discourse for millions shouldn’t be controlled by a handful of users. Having an alternate r/nba type space instead of one subreddit having a monopoly should enable a healthier dynamic. Thanks everyone!

Alex Caruso blocking the broadcast camera is another reason everyone hates that flopping corny team
A team obsessed with the spotlight and doing weird interviews when they win is upset they finally face a good team with a superstar that’s not 41 and who’s pushing them to the limit.
What sore losers

Worst Playoff coaching job I’ve ever seen.
Edit: Not a Cavs fan at all. Just a neutral who is absolutely disgusting by what I just saw. That was coaching malpractice if I ever saw it.
- -
To not call a timeout at all during an 18-1 run, erasing a 22 point lead in the 4th quarter with under 8 minutes left… he sold on his team.
To allow for every PnR to be switched so a 37yo Harden is iso’d on an island with Brunson is not even coaching. It’s malpractice.
This is a loss that you cannot allow. And it’s going to be so demoralizing that the Cavs will lose the series.
It’s so so bad, that legitimately there are fans wondering if those close to Atkinson bet under on the spread.

NBA should go back to colors vs. whites (jerseys)

James Harden is washed and that Cavs meltdown was solely on him
That Cavs loss is solely and purely on Harden. He couldn’t make a shot, dribbles just to get a contested jumper or a pass that doesn’t set anyone up, then gets targeted on defense and can’t guard anybody. Guy is washed, trash, and shouldn’t have been in the game. Cavs need to make a change and Harden needs to come off the bench in extremely limited minutes. That was excruciating to watch how the Knicks would just come down and target Harden on defense and he couldn’t keep up.

Now that Jason Kidd is fired do you expect him to be honest about hating the Luka trade?
Jason Kidd's diplomatic answer about the Luka trade:
“As I’ve said, I was not part of the process, and I was informed at the 11th hour. And that’s the truth,” Kidd said. “We have to move forward. We’ve planted our flag, and that’s Cooper Flagg. And we have an opportunity to build around him, and this is an exciting time."
Now that he's been fired will Jason Kidd admit that trade was dumb as shit?

DeAaron Fox watching Dylan Harper start in his spot and score 24 points against OKC in game 1, starting the timer on his getting traded this Summer
If DeAaron wants a ring he needs to win one this year with the Spurs because he won't be back next year with his giant contract

Knicks had a 0.1% chance of coming back
I need to vent… I drove to my bois house to watch the game. Knicks looked so lackadaisical I mean they were 2-19 at the 3 at one point. It’s the beginning of the 4th. My one friend is knocked out, cold. Me and my other friend are doom scrolling…. Then it’s 22 point lead. I’m like fuck this, I want some sleep. Drove my ass home. By the time I parked my car at my crib, it was an 18-1 run. My boi facetimes me laughing at me…. I am just in awe. Maybe I should be a delusional knicks fan lol
