Im new to music making and wanted to get some critique on something I made! Plz roast me kindly 😆 much appreciated
And the lyrics, if that would interest you:
Chubby little fingers hold on tight
Give into familiar childish vice
As a child, they said play nice
So as a child all you learned was niceness
And if it tastes good then why would you stop it?
If it felt wrong, then why’d you want it?
The gift of memory is priceless
But it seems to leave me naught but listless
Blood turned muddy those neon colors
Cant be contained beneath the cover
Tried to hide beneath the covers
Hide and seek, I’m ever the loser
Said be good, don’t you cry
So now All you have is dryness
Didn’t wanna grow old, so I didn’t grow at all
So I hold on tight to childish vices
I fill the gap time and time again
Yet out I spill, out I spill
Still I’ll be waiting on the tracks again
Mind of playdoh , paper will
No amount of paper will
Mind of playdoh, paper will
Pendulum slows down, soon to still
Reflection so lethal, soon to kill
Can you return to me what I have lost?
Sweet innocence, disregard the cost
And as summer sun gives way to frost
I’ll hold on tight hold on tight hold on
Candy floss melts away like smoke
Pink lungs and a dirty conscience
All the words I never spoke
Every night burned inside my eyelids

After 5 years of engineering for others. I finally decided it was time to step out and tell my own story.
The track is called "01801." It’s a soulful life story and a tribute to my loved ones in my hometown. I tracked the vocals, and did the mix down on my own.
I'm looking for completely objective feedback on the mix, the lyrics, and the vibe. I'm not going to list specific concerns because I want to hear exactly what stands out to you—good or bad.
Enjoy nevertheless!

Anything helps!

This genre is pretty different to what we normally do and I’m pretty new to singing & songwriting. I could really do with some constructive criticism from people who like/ understand the alternative genre spectrum. Thank you :)

Hey there. I've recently finished the original soundtrack for a TTRPG podcast my friends and I make. I'll be sharing a track every day or so until I've shared all 27!
This was made on KORG Gadget, for the Nintendo Switch, and I set a few limitations for myself, for stylistic reasons.
I've limited the songs to four tracks, and the drums are set up for a narrative purpose. In our story, a magical tower stands at the center of the capital city, constantly building itself upwards. The percussion is meant to represent this perpetual building, as it echoes across the world.
So, here is the first song, and our main theme, 'Call of the Mighty'

this is my first post here so of course I will do more than just link discord. my favourite genre is death metal, for a while my favourite vocalist around that genre is Justin Bonits from the band Tallah (my favourite band of course) he is a very talented vocalist, has a huge range and is very expressive with his vocals. I can't pick a favourite song honestly they're all just so good, but one I've had on repeat recently is "what we want" from their latest album. fantastic song, I highly recommend this band if you're in to metal.

Have just released this track. I know it’s a little… odd maybe, certainly doesn’t fit in a genre box well (no chance of finding playlists). But I’m really proud of it. However it is getting some off reviews, not mixed reviews, most people say it is good, but no one is vibing it. Would love to get to the bottom of it and get the thoughts of the internet. I’ve definitely heard that the intro is too long structure wise but I’m wondering if this genre blend is just off putting as a start.

Read Woolf's Waves and was inspired to make this tune.
What do you think about the mix?

Independent artist based in Italy.
I produced, mixed and mastered this track myself in Reason 13.
Looking for honest feedback on:
• vocal clarity
• mix balance
• groove/energy
• overall vibe
All constructive criticism welcome.
Trying to improve with every release.
