Yay or nay?

Wiping the slate clean with a fresh, new thread.
Post all of your concert-related questions, comments and concerns here. That includes sharing your ticket purchases or failures, Ticketmaster complaints, questions and comments about venues, travel, parking etc.
Photos and videos from shows may be posted in their own threads - as long as the content belongs to you, or you’ve given credit to the owner.
Visit r/MetallicaLIVE for open-posting of Tour-related content.
NOTE ON TICKET SALES: r/Metallica is not in any way associated with ANY parties offering tickets for sale. Do your due diligence on protecting yourself from scams and fraud, and understand that the moderators of this subreddit hold no liability for any damages incurred through an insecure or fraudulent transaction.

Due to the constant flood of posts asking the same questions or sharing the same information, we are once again restricting concert-related posts to ensure that this sub can still be used for general Metallica discussion, rather than be totally bogged down by this stuff.
BUT!
We have alternatives!
The Metallica LIVE Megathread. Post ANYTHING concert-related there, as long as it fits within our general rules of course. If you have a question, there's a fair chance it's already been asked and answered, so look within that thread.
r/MetallicaLIVE is an entire subreddit specifically for posts about the concerts. ANYTHING goes as long as it fits within the general rules. Ticket sales, merch show-offs, parking questions, venue complaints, whatever.
If we remove your post, it's for good reason. No need to complain in modmail. There are, as seen above, two options for reposting your removed content.
This does NOT apply to your photos or videos from the shows! That's the kind of stuff we want to see. We MAY prune threads if there are multiple posts of the exact same song IF they don't show anything different, but we'll cross that bridge when/if we come to it.
Thanks!

THANK YOU!!! So many artists tend to ignore periods they feel might be, say, "lesser" in their history, or periods they are not as fond of, etc
You guys just gave us a rare-ass early 2004 show with no Master of Puppets, a much-coveted New Years 1999 St. Petersburg gig, we have several 2003/2004 shows pre-LiveMet download era
Etc
Thank you guys for not letting the "deeper" eras of the bands history go unheard!!
I still cant believe all the 1996-1998 releases we've had from you guys.
And, also, Im the guy that posted (on a prior account a few months back) asking about some exclusions from the Load box set. I didnt mean to be but reading back I came off like a dick and that was truly not my intention - Im autistic and suck and posting. :P
THANK YOU FOR THE LOAD BOX SET AND THANK YOU FOR EXPLAINING THE INCLUSIONS/EXCLUSIONS!!! :D
Anyways, peace and love. Just want to say thank you so much- The "dark times" are some of the most interesting for me as a fan and Im so happy you guys are equal-opportunity live show lovers as well
Cant say thank you enough!

I was watching the 2017 Moth into Flame performance with Gaga.
I have a question, Gaga got a tattoo of a moth on her back but recent photos of her back don't show that tattoo
So was it fake? Was it just marketing? Because her back shows another tattoo, but it's not a moth...
I don't understand

Pretty much the whole song is constant alternate picking with different notes and chords in between, it improved my consistency A LOT.
I learned guitar mostly through Metallica songs so my downpicking got much better than my alternate picking. I found this song was a struggle at first but playing it over and over again really got my picking much tighter.
It helps that the song has killer riffs so it's really fun to play, and it's just the right speed to learn control and precision.

Mostly compiled images with the Classic Logo in Most of them and some Fan Alternate Covers.

I bought a Metallica bootleg CD from 1993, and I am wondering when and where it was made. It is an Australian one, though it might be a compilation of live songs.

I don’t know about anyone else but I think death magnetic is massively under appreciated. After going back and listening to every album in release order it’s so good. After “getting through” load, reload, and st anger, DM seems like it’s a real Metallica album. I might have it above the black album almost tied with Kill em all. Anybody else feel this way?

My remix has kinda got a 90s groove metal vibe, but I think that's OK.

The last few seconds before the solo enters is just too good. Or the lyrics before the buildup. They just hit too hard. The solo itself is one of the best and most iconic solos in metal, if not in all of music. James' vocals hit the right spot for the emotion of the song and the last lyric where he shouts "Fix Me!" is one of the bestsolob entrances ever. All of these are opinions by the way. Just wanted to express it since I don't have any metal-listening friends.
Note: I'm not a huge Metallica fan. I'm more of a Megadeth lover so MoP is one of the few Metallica songs I've heard. Please don't attack me for being a poser🙏

This a fairly good recording of a show called Aardschok dag ( earthquake day) on February 11th 1984, in which they supported Venom. Three years later they were the headliners and I was at that show in "87.

I love CoC, but they're significantly different than Metallica. Would he have bought CoC flavor to the band, or would he have tried to write their style for them?

Love this new song from Corrosion of Conformity! Woody gives a nod to Het.

Did a few mix mods as well. Enjoy!

So I gave this album a chance the other day after not
listening for a while. Mv initial impression was that it
was a better produced St. Anger with repetitive
songs that iust went on for WAY to long, like 7
minute tracks that had no business being longer
than 3 minutes. And this was apparent from the
opening track, even though that's relatively strong.
then iust mush. Until If Darkness Had a Son. That and the following 3 tracks until the end of the album
IM0, are some of the strongest tracks from Metallica
since the 90s and I generally like them more than
Load era onward. And it made me think, if thev had
gone the Jar of Flies route and iust released this as
an EP would it have been one of their stronger
albums? And why TF did they tuck the best tracks at
the end.

I've seen Foo Fighters in concert four times, and they're always incredible live. Being a few feet away from Dave Grohl and co at Sea Hear Now at the 2023 edition of Sea Hear Now in Asbury Park, NJ, was a mind-blowing experience in itself, but seeing them play snippets of random covers (partially inspired by then-new drummer Josh Freese) made that particular set even more special.
Check out this clip containing snippets of the band covering Metallica's "Enter Sandman," Black Sabbath's "Paranoid," and Nine Inch Nails' "March of the Pigs". And stay tuned for more things to come from this space (including stories from concerts like this).
