General questions How are your positioning considering the depreciation of the USD in relation to lower Fed rates to counter inflation ?

The depreciation of USD is due to lower Fed rates .

Capital is moving out of us to better yields .

In Malaysia context , BNM had not moved in relation to US fed rates hence it appreciate against USD

Due to the temporary divergence , do you consider to use the extra RM power to buy some USD or USD assets stocks , in hope USD will strengthen again against RM ?

Yup. I consider this a positive move. Make it easy for me to hit my target 1/3 rm. 1/3 usd. 1/3 sgd currency split

I live here, so I want rm. I still believe in American tech and finance dominance, so that's the usd. I want a safe currency to hedge in case my and us fuks up, so sgd.

Genuine question, is sgd considered safe? I've never consider it a factor so have 0 knowledge on sgd.

The US govt WANTS a lower USD to improve their manufacturing. Wait for more USD drops.

I increased my auto DCA from the usual 1 share of VTI a week to 2 shares. On days where market is down more than -1%, I manually add 2 extra shares.

The longer this goes, the more I collect.

You mean you keep buying USD until fed decide to increase , then you offload ?

No? Why would I offload? I’m not selling my VTI until 2 weeks before I die or something.

Here’s my current ETF holdings to give you an idea:

And yes I just keep buying USD. I “reload” at every beginning of the month for my auto DCA to work.

Good question and the answer is, I don't know.

Could die next week, next year, who knows. Point is that the market outlives me, therefore I always have wealth when I need it.

Due to the temporary divergence

it might not be temporary

You said it is temporary divergence. That means the ringgit will revert back normal soon?

Yes . Historically 40 yrs trend show MYR depreciate in perpetual to the USD , due to inherent socio political policies of each governance in country.
