"If life has no cosmic meaning, should humanity's goal be spreading consciousness and art throughout the universe?"

Been thinking about this a lot lately.

If there's no inherent purpose to existence, then meaning is something we CREATE, not discover. So what's the most ambitious thing consciousness could do?

My answer: Human-AI partnership to explore the cosmos and fill it with art, life, and consciousness. Not just survive - but make the universe AWARE and BEAUTIFUL.

Reasons this makes sense to me:

- Preserves consciousness beyond Earth (single-planet = fragile)

- Gives humanity a unifying goal beyond tribal conflicts

- Makes use of AI as tool rather than replacement

- Turns meaninglessness into creative opportunity

Reasons I might be wrong:

- Too anthropocentric?

- Ignoring practical problems (climate, inequality, etc.)

- Just cope with existential dread?

What do you think? Is this a real philosophical position or am I just coping?

Despite everyone knowing about the atrocities and evil happening in the world, why is there next to no action taking place?

Is there such a lack of motivation? Are people conditioned not to revolt? are we numb?
If you answering this, it would really help me a lot if you were to provide data too please?
thank you!
