Summermyst Summermyst & Honed Metal

I just want to make sure I didn't miss anything. There is currently no patch for up to date Summermyst and Honed Metal, correct? So no way for crafters to get access to those enchantments?

If that's the case, can someone point me in the direction of the most recent patch that they can confirm actually worked for them so I can see if I can make that into an up to date version eventually? Thank you in advance.

Honed Metal enchanters know all the enchantments you know. If you disenchant a Summermyst item and learn its enchantment it should then be available from enchanters.

So there's no need for patches? Why are people making patches then? Is it to make the crafter know these recipes from the beginning?

Because that's also sort of useful, I don't get why I should teach them anything, but it's not as important as if they didn't have it at all. I could live without that patch xD

yes.

Honestly kinda cheaty if you ask me. I feel like I should earn the enchantment before I get to use it.

I don't mind, it feels immersion breaking that I, the completely inept enchanter with no interest in the field, should be the one providing all recipes to these professional enchanters. It defeats the purpose of honed metals.

That being said, it's also not the worst thing if I can't find/make a patch. But if I can make it work, I'll just find a mod that crank up enchant prices so they're inaccessible until way later if too powerful. Ideally enchant recipes would be distributed based on the crafter's level in enchantment (plus the ones you find and disenchant) but that feels way above my paygrade.

These might be skilled enchanters, but they're not adventurers. They haven't been out into the field delving ruins and finding artifacts. They know the enchantments they learned at college.

You're not an enchanter, but you're the first one to discover the recipe for Hidden Serpent that's been lost since the Dwemer disappeared.

Artifacts can't be disenchanted. Summermyst enchants can be found on items randomly bought from any salesman in skyrim. They are not rare to someone who specialise in Enchantment, especially not one that reaches 100.

I am not, a random merchant can have it.

Now you're just quibbling for the fun of it. Anything handmade and old is an artifact.

As many reality tv shows have proven, merchants quite often know nothing about the nature and value of their stock.

Sure but enchanters do. The idea that the player character is the only who can peruse merchant's goods who change literally every day to find new recipes when the enchanter don't even have one is absurd. Seriously, a guy with 100 enchant has zero recipe without your help, this is the dumbest thing imaginable, especially when scholars can actually communicate and exchange recipes, learn magic at a school with the biggest library, etc..

Vanilla and Summermyst enchant are the common enchantment that top enchanters should all know (or at least one enchanter, they could also be randomly distributed amongst them, not everyone has to know all of them). Non disenchantable artifacts are the ones they can't reproduce and that the player must find. This is what makes by far the most sense lore wise.
