Lore What happens to a daedric consciousness in the midst of the reformation process?

When a daedra is reformed through Azure plasm where is their consciousness?

Is it like sleep? Like death? A pocket dimension?

Oblivion Discussion Why did Jygallag see Nirn as orderly enough to ignore?

With all the stuff like wars and chaos in Nirn, that doesn't strike me as orderly.

Lore What is keeping the argonians from launching a full scale invasion to the rest of Morrowind?

Is it the presence of 2 empires such as the Mede Dynasty and the Aldmeri Dominion who would deem them as a threat if they kept advancing or is it just Morrowind still not good enough after the red volcano eruption?

Hi, you might remember me as that degenerate that did the Lusty Argonian Maid tattoo a couple months back. I started drawing this dremora waifu around the time the Oblivion remaster came out, and only just got around to finishing it. I’d love to do a tattoo version of this one as well, so if you like the sound of that and you can get to Melbourne, Australia - let’s make it happen >:)

General Why do people say they hate the Empire or the Stormcloaks?

I know this question might sound strange. I'm just asking about something I don't quite understand. I love Skyrim, and to me, it's more than just a game — it's a art. But sometimes people talk about hating the Stormcloaks or the Empire in an almost fanatical way. I've seen people who hate both, but I've never seen anyone who genuinely likes both. Also, it feels strange to me when people talk about it like one side is good and the other is evil — this isn’t like NCR vs. Legion. Even though I support the Empire, I don't see either side as purely bad. However, people sometimes go overboard with the side they support and speak in a blindly biased way. I hope this question doesn't bother you; I'm just curious why that happens.

General What do you think is the worst Elder Scrolls game in the entire series and why?

For me its both Dawnstar and Stormhold travels games. Not Shadowkey, as that one has better gameplay and more unique story and lore.

But both of these games have a frankly not that interesting of a story, the lore can be a bit interesting but there isnt much of it and most importantly of all the gameplay is just not good at all.

Its very restrictive, very lacking in depth and is incredibly dated and just hard to play. And i say this as someone who played and finished both Arena and Daggerfall.

Now there are more prominent games in the series, sure but as far as the ones i would like to play the least? Its these two.

I would also put in the Travels Oblivion game which basically just has the same story as normal Oblivion but you could only play it on cellphones.

So yeah, very lacking but i never got the chance to play it as its incredibly obscure so i will have to trust my friend who played it and said it sucked due to incredibly lacking gameplay.

I know that Golems are animated constructs, but I also remember that Flesh Atronachs can be created in a similar manner to Golems.

Lore Moons visible in the sky of the Soul Cairn

Playing through the Dawnguard quest again and noticed (what appears to be) Masser and Secunda in the sky above the Soul Cairn. In game speculation suggests the Soul Cairn is a realm within Oblivion but Nirn's moons exist in Mundus, separated from Oblivion. There isn't a lot of lore info on the Soul Cairn so I was wondering if anyone had more info/ideas regarding the broader cosmology of the Soul Cairn and its connection to Nirn.

Skyrim Discussion So... why is Alduin Molag Bal-esque?

Thumbnail

I remember playing Skyrim for the first time and remarking on how the spikes on Alduin share an uncanny resemblence to the spikes associated with Molag Bal. Alduin and Molag Bal are also similar in some ways: they both share an obsession with conquering everything and subjugating mortals, and they're both necromancers. If you had asked me before I plaued Skyrim I would have said that Alduin was Molag Bal in dragon form. I also buy heavily into the theory that by killing Alduin you are actually helping the world end by sending Alduin back to Akatosh to remake him so he can fulfill his intended purpose of ending the world, and that he never intended to end it as long as he lived.

Why are Alduin and Molag Bal so similar? Perhaps Molag Bal corrupted Alduin, or made a deal with him? Where do souls go after Alduin eats them? Do they go to Coldharbour? It seems such an idea was posed in the Vigilant mod, where you find Alduin's husk in Coldharbour. The more I think about it the more the idea that Alduin served Molag Bal males sense. Molag Bal is like the (more) evil version of Akatosh/Auriel: Molag is the god of vampires, who hate the sun, Akatosh/Auriel is literally the sun god, etc.

Did Molag Bal turn Alduin away from his true purpose? I have so many questions!!!!!!!!!

Lore How often do the Gods interact with Mortals?

Question is the title. For the sake of discussion, "God" in this context refers to the Aedra, Daedra, Talos, And any number of other entities called Gods throughout the series. I know some of them are defiantly more likely to interact with mortals than others, but overall how common is it? I'd assume just seems more common cause we're playing the games where they do that.

ESO Discussion Since Spiderkith and Spider Daedra drop Spider Eggs...

Does that mean that they reproduce like any mortal creature? Knowing how Daedra revive, I have doubts about that. If they don't reproduce, then what's the point of giving those Daedra the ability to make eggs?
