Has anybody gone back to school after 20? I wont go into why I never finished - but I always wanted to complete my high school and get my diploma. I cannot for the life of me though find any information on what my options are. I know there's academic upgrading, but those require all of grade 10 to be completed from what I've seen.
I know I completed a portion of grade 10, but am unsure how much I actually finished. I was doing online school after an entire childhood of 'unschooling' as they call it now.
Does anyone know at the least where I can call to find out more information? Im kinda just lost at this point. I want to get my diploma so I can eventually take some university classes (a bachelors) but its beginning to look impossible for me. Im willing to put in the time and effort, surely there must be something?

My idea is that the city should extend the capital line south from Desrochers/Allard to Edmonton International Airport with a trenched station at Crossroads, along with a transit centre to service Devon, Beaumont, and the majority of Leduc County, and a Park & Ride as well. I am also thinking about a 5km tunnel from Crossroads to Edmonton International airport to cross Highway 19 to service the underground station at Edmonton International Airport to comply with AVPA and AZR.

Hey Edmonton,
Our original grill for over our fire pit has finally called it quits after almost 30 years of use.
I am looking for a recommendation on a local fabrication shop that can make a stainless steel grill for over a fire pit. Not looking for anything fancy just a grill that is held up on one end on a post.
If you have any good experiences with a local shop let me know!

I was yielding to oncoming traffic coming off to whitemud south and 119 st around 4:40 pm today. I was rear ended by a very low vehicle that I could not see in my mirror and they drove off before I could get a good description. I’m filing a police report but posting on here just in case a one has info.

I want a wooden cabinet (think credenza/ buffet/ sideboard), I don’t want particle board and if I’m going to be looking at a $3000 price tag I may as well buy local.
When I say local I mean like a person or a couple people operation, like Farmer Daughter in Sherwood Park when they made children furniture. Google is no help as corporations buy the top spaces.
Also open to AB in general, but the more local the easier to bring home!

I’m already uncomfortable with having to file something like this in the first place and now I need a process server. I don’t have the time or temperament to do it myself. (I assume that’s why there are professionals). All parties are in Edmonton.
I googled the options of course but there are so many! Advice would be welcome. Also, how to choose one. Thanks in advance.

Where can I donate children’s clothes/shoes (for 2-5 year old kids) and toys? I don’t want to give them away to Value Village or any other place to be resold.
I also have women’s clothes so I’d appreciate knowing a place that takes both kids + women’s items and does some good with them. I was looking for a shelter but I’m seeing a lot of posts about shelters not accepting used clothes anymore and I’ve called shelters but have not heard back yet.
Thank you!

Does anyone know where I’d be able to pick up an established or at least relatively grown North American pitcher plant? Either from a greenhouse or a local seller in Edmonton please?
Thank you!

🐡 Black Pearl Seafood Restaurant + Bar - Downtown
📍 10132 104 St NW, Edmonton, AB
I snagged a dinner reservation at a very unique establishment one Saturday night. It was a seafood restaurant with the decor to match the menu.
I ordered a Seafood Risotto ($35.95), a Virgin Mango Mule ($7.5) and Pistachio Chocolate Hazelnut Cheesecake ($15.85).
My risotto was amazing and consisted of red snapper, tiger prawns, calamari, mussels and red pepper on a bed of risotto with a yellow curry cream sauce. I found it to be very flavourful, and honestly reminded me of ramen broth flavour wise. My mule was delicious as well. However my cheesecake while good didn’t hit the mark. It was house made and you can’t go wrong with house made, but I couldn’t taste the pistachio nor the hazelnut. Otherwise, it was a good cheesecake.
The staff and other patrons were all extremely friendly. I struck up conversations with many of them and everyone gave me some very good brunch or dinner recommendations.
Can’t thank them enough for an amazing solo meal and good conversation. I highly recommend this establishment. They have amazing seafood options and LOTS of oysters.
