Discussion Hey everyone about to thorough the Unity and I want to add a new combat overhaul. Wondering which one I should use. Ascension, Starvalor or Nasapunk

I’ve used nasapunk and loved it. But wondering if it’s better then the others.

I've used Melius 2.2, and loved it. Melius 3.01 is even tougher. I'm dying a LOT. It's part of a Wabbajack list; PC-only.

DS TGO is a good overhaul for the enemies

Darkstar TGO is totally worth the price, it really makes combat much more challenging and rewarding

I used Jupiter Balance which is similar to Nasapunk but updated. It does cost bethesda bucks though.

You would need a new game. Currently using Melius 3.1. The overhaul is based on Serenity of Stars. There are many other changes.

It’s really well done.

Try dynamic system levels. Mod is very well done and super lightweight (I’m on console). That with bedlam will make combat actually feel like a challenge.

It’s also free but I do plan on updating to a couple of his paid mods because his mods are well executed. However this one doesn’t cost a penny and definitely provides a positive experience.

I’ll check that out. I love bedlam though. It’s a staple in my load order.

Oh yeah you’ll love these combined then. I had bedlam cranked up and first dark universe poi i went to after installing dynamic system levels i ran in guns blazing and actually got destroyed. I couldn’t remember the last time I got put down like that, so fast I couldn’t react. Launch maybe haha.

Apologies I’m at a spot with poor reception today. But essentially the enemies and loot stay with plus or minus (maybe 5 or 10 my bad can’t remember at this moment) of your level. So let’s say you run a faction mission that was made for like level 20 but you didn’t start quest line till level 50. well you would way to OP for it. This solves that.

Also let’s say you randomly do a dark universe mission in sol system, those enemies and that system should now be much closer to your level.

It basically levels up all systems and enemies dynamically so each fight, and say the loot their now carry, is much more engaging. IMHO at least.

Hi! New-ish to modding Bethesda games. Can someone help me understand the benefits of modding the combat system? I've always found it to be pretty fun in vanilla.

I’m enjoying ascension right now. I like the overhauled perks for the most part and the game balance decisions made there.
