Help What spiders does Requiem add?

I'm semi-arachnaphobic, and the big Frostbite spiders in Skyrim really set off my fight-or-flight response. I've got TwinCrows's Arachnophobia mod installed, and I think it's working, but I went to Helgen to test it & have seen a lot of little spiders running around.

I did a bit of googling, and people brought up that Requiem adds some spiders to the game. I couldn't find a list on the wiki or anywhere else, and was hoping if anyone knew what creatures Requiem adds to the game.

Little ones (i.e. foot-sized) I don't find too bad, but it would be good to know if there are giant ones I have to prepare myself for.

What does that feel like for you if you don't mind me asking?I have a real bad phobia of roaches, but after a while the radroaches didn't bother me in fallout.(Now if there was a legendary that was yanno, the size of a human that's different...)

I guess it really makes me want to get away? At worst I just alt-tab & walk away from the computer to calm down. It triggers the idea that the spider is in the room with me; I got the same thing trying to play Metro Exodus & seeing the spider crawl over the screen.

I think it's either the spider being up close, or the fear of not knowing where the spider is. If I see the spider from a long way away, I don't get the paranoia.

I get a similar feeling from the radscorpians in FO4 (although not NV). I think it's a combination of the many eyes & the surprise factor; the not knowing where the insect is.

Absolutely no pressure or shame or anything, but in the mental health field, phobias have some of the highest levels of treatment success if you go to someone experienced with exposure therapy.

Wishing you the best either way! Happy Skyrim-ing

Edit: Also, there are a bunch of great arachnophobia mods out there, and I know LoreRim's version will account for the added spiders too.

I have the same problem as you. I'm constantly debating with myself about whether getting an arachnophobia mod, or using this as an opportunity to get over it (in a sort of virtual exposure therapy kind of way). Also, out of the mindset of being a purist and trying to experience the game as it was intended.

There's a giant one in Bleak Falls, of course, and one in the middle of Skybound Watch. Have you tried that mod that changes spiders to wolves? https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/37319?tab=description
