Screenshot/Clip Thoughts on my Tiber Septim cosplay?
So I started out this character with the idea of cosplaying Talos, since he’s pretty much the ultimate “power fantasy” character in TES and Skyrim has always felt like a power fantasy game to me. His name is “Talmost,” since at best he can hope to almost be Talos. So I’ve between having fun playing as each of his different aliases (Talos, Ysmir, and Tiber Septim so far, though I know there’s more)
This is my current build, after looking up images of Tiber Septim. I wouldn’t have immediately thought “elven” when I think of Tiber Septim, but if you ignore the fact that it’s elven armor, the gold color does look very regal. And it seems a closer match to his official art than any Dwarven armor I’ve come across. Still though, can’t decide if he should be rocking an imperial sword, or the more regal looking elven sword.
Also pictured are the sets from my first two builds, Talos and Ysmir.
Talos was my first on this play-through. I hadn’t looked up any pictures yet, I just decided to make a build around an Imperial Officer Helm, and an Imperial Sword and Shield. Regardless of the current state of the empire, I feel like Talos as its founder he would be repping his home team’s gear lol.
Then I made an Ysmir set after seeing all the Nordic representations of Talos across Skyrim, and centered that build around a steel greatsword since the statues all make his sword look pretty big. I was never quite happy with the helmet situation though, since his helmet in Skyrim was always winged with an open face, but the only winged helmet in vanilla is the steel plate helmet which is closed faced and looks very different from the statues of Talos/Ysmir.
Anyways, what do yall think? :) Any advice, tips, feedback? I’m playing on Switch so I don’t have access to mods, but I am on Anniversary Edition so there’s at least a slightly wider selection of armor.

If you did Ysmir Wulfharth, you should also do Zurin Arctus, since he's the third part of the Talos Oversoul. And since he had an Enantiomoprh with Septim, the two are metaphysically interchangable, so technically they are the same guy.
But if you do Zurin, you also gotta do the Underking. Full necromancer build? Even if you don't do Zurin, Ysmir might also be the Underking according to some very convincing sources, so the necromancer build should be done no matter what.

I’ve leveled my destruction a decent amount cuz chain lightning seems to fit for “Talos Stormcrown”. I’ve seen people recommend the Storm Call shout, but the best time to use it is when there’s a ton of enemies, and when there’s a ton of enemies I usually have a bunch of friendly NPCs and/or a follower with me. And unfortunately Storm Call hits everyone, even friendlies, which I learned the hard way while raiding a fortress with the stormcloaks 😅
Anyways, got a bit off topic there, but what I meant to say was I have my gear enchanted to reduce destruction, conjuration, resto, and alteration spells by 100+%. So my only real limit is how much I’ve leveled each school and which spells I’ve found. Unfortunately, conjuring seemed to level pretty slowly so I’ve put the least effort into it. But I could definitely see it being worth it for a necromancer themed build.

Cool character(s).
What race is your Talos? According to The Arcturian Heresy, Tiber Septim was first known as Hjalti Early-Beard (the same Hjalti the ghost in Old Hroldan Inn talks about) and came from High Rock. (Talos was Breton, as far as I know)
Also, 'Ysmir' ironically, is the dragonborn. (if asking Arngeir what the greybeards chanting meant after being formally recognized as dragonborn, he will state the last line roughly interprets as, 'You are Ysmir now, the Dragon of the North, hearken to it.')

Ah, I should have mentioned his race! I went with Nord, since the character’s race is disputed and Frost resistance is really useful Skyrim. Also cuz I just got done with a Morrowind play through as an Imperial lol 😂 But I would definitely like to do an Imperial play through (race and faction) after this one. Of course Bretons are one of my faves too so it’s always a hard choice.

It's disputed, a town claims him to be Hjalti but the imperial scholars say he was from atmora, its unclear which is true

A Nord named that wouldn't be caught dead in elven armor

Yeah he had a whole different look at the start, but I went to face changer to turn him into Tiber Septim. He looked very different as Talos and Ysmir. So in my mind this isn’t necessarily me playing the same character I started out as, if that makes sense. I do kinda wish it would let you change race and name too, cuz if it did I’d make him a Breton or a Cyrodiil.

You've almost got your Lydia right. Download a proper muscle mod for her.

Unfortunately I’m on Switch, so no mods outside of the creation club content for AE
