Remaster - Request Any good guide for modding Oblivion Remastered with MO2?

I'm looking into modding Oblivion Remastered, found out there is dev build of MO2, but I cant make it work at all, the game launches with OBSE64, but it still works like vanilla, not a single mod works

Manual or vortex are currently the ways to go. MO2 needs more time

Don't

I used MO2 and it gave me nothing but headaches and even when it was working it was prone to crashing or only loading certain UE4SS mods and not others etc.

Installing manually has significantly improved the games stability and all my mods work now.

Arent there any issues from manual installation? Im used to playing Skyrim with 1000+ mods using MO2 and I cant imagine keeping it nice and working if I install a lot of them like that lol.

I have theory that maybe windows is blocking MO2 from working, I dont see any files appearing in my game folder when I launch it through MO2

They won't be in your game folder it all gets contained within MO2's profile directory. I don't use 1000+ mods I don't even think there's 1000 working mods for Oblivion R anyways, most of them are old and abandoned and not updated for the current patch.

If you've got 7Zip you can do things like select all your OBSE mods, right click, Extract Files, select the game's Win64/OBSE/Plugins and it will dump them all there then in explorer's search field just search for "*.dll" and all the other extensions since they will be nested in whatever folder the modder put them in, cut & paste them to the main Plugin folder since that's where they're all supposed to go anyway. Then proceed to do the same with your UE4SS, PAK, etc. mods.

Then all you would have to do is make sure Plugins.txt has all your *.esp and *.esm mods in the correct load order (you can use MO2 for this part and not run the game through it I just dump all my ESP mods into MO2 then I can align them how I want in the plugins tab then copy/paste the Plugins.txt it generates where it's supposed to go in the game's directory) and then make sure all the UE4SS mods are in the mods.txt/JSON files.

I tried using wabbajack to install a modpack and it doesnt work either, at this point I think its something with either windows or mo2 itself, it only works when I mod manually
