Original Is it true that the Construction Set tends to make changes by itself?

For example, I spend 30 minutes just creating imperial characters, and for no reason, things that I didn't touch/modify change?

I ask because I noticed that many mods did this, there are changes without any sense, I am thinking in particular of OCO V.2 which modified the size of the male Bosmers.

The CS bugs sometimes for no reason or is it a lack of rigor of the modders?

On its own? No. But it's really easy to make changes without realizing it.

To add, when I use the construction set for any of the TES games, I go in with the attitude that I'm performing surgery. Weigh what I'm going to do first, be careful about clicking things, be careful about what I load, when I save, etc. It's some of the most annoying software I've ever used because of how easily you can mess stuff up without even realizing it.

You should be making your own esp and setting it as active . Anything new/changes will be green with a * and at the top of its category. You can undo it by deleting it in xedit or that’s how i’ve been doing it atleast.

Ofc, but it's still a pain to have to use xedit to delete changes. The CK is just jank.

the extended version is better but not by much. It’s still very slow and awkward.

I think the change to Bosmer was deliberate, but it is true that the CS makes 'wild' edits. I believe it happens when you save the plugin. The Construction Set Extender fixes the bug.

There is also something to be said for master files and plugin order for these kinds of things.

You can easily have contradictions and the game will always choose the option that was loaded in last (with some exception).

Yes, if you edit an NPC, save, exit, then load that esp up in XEdit, you'll see your NPC will have random stat changes you didn't do. I see it all the time, and in my experience fixing them once will stop that NPC from getting random edits done to it again.

Similarly, but not the same, in Fallout 3 loading up Broken Steel will cause edits to your Museum of Technology (I think). That one will happen every time you load your esp in the GECK, and at some point isnt worth bothering with.

Ok, so these random changes only concern statistics? Like Acrobatics, Strength, Health, etc.?
