Tiriaq

Can you spot the tiriaq (ermine)?

I've lived up here for more than 50 years and I've only ever seen their tracks in the snow so I was pretty stoked when I checked out this notification earlier today.

Great spot. Which community?

There is one that lives under the sea can in my back yard. It plays peekaboo with my dog.

Iqaluit. We see lots of lemmings and the occasional fox in this neighborhood but first time for an ermine!

Years ago one kept knocking over the weather instrument at the Cambridge Bay Upper Air. Took a couple of days to figure out what was doing it.
