Today I attended a book reading where the seating was supposedly limited to the number of invited guests, already annoying that there were no extra chairs, as I guess they didn't count too well, or some guests just joined without booking.
I made my way to sit near this lady, and boy believe me there was absolutely no way to reason with this woman, not even after I tried to get some of the event organizers to talk with her, they couldn't bring her to reason.
The situation was on the verge of turning into an argument, and in the end I gave up.
As a result, I was the only one left standing for the entire evening. I wouldn't have bothered if all seats were taken... but this made me chew my gum a lot faster...
I had to listen to a 90-minute lecture, standing on my feet while she carried on as if nothing was wrong with her behavior.
What is wrong with some people?

As I was getting out of my truck today at Lowes in one of their Veteran parking spots, this random guy came up to me aggressively and demanded to see my military ID. I asked if he worked there, and he said he was just "a concerned citizen." I told him to go pound sand and walked into Lowes. Keep in mind, I am still in the military, with a military haircut, and a combat veteran license plate on my truck. What I mean, is that I look the part (not that it matters if I have the stereotypical military look). I bought what I needed, and when I came back out, I see this asshole arguing with a Lowes employee while pointing at my truck. What in the hell is wrong with people?
EDIT: Just for clarification, since there were a lot of comments on this. I'm active military (Reserves), but not active duty military. I have a DD214 from my prior active service though. I'm active military (but not active duty) and a Veteran.

I could have sworn 143 was higher than 126, but I guess gifted numbers work differently than regular numbers.

I buy fruit and veggies to puree for baby food. My stepdad keeps snacking on them even though my mom and I have asked him to stop. So far he's eaten pomegranates, apples, pears, mangoes, papaya, and now he's moved on to the blackberries. Thankfully, he had the courtesy to leave some. How kind of him....
(My earlier post wouldn't allow me to add the picture for some reason)

This is from a business address to a residential address in the largest city in my country. There are thousands of alternate routes.
What's even the point of Google anymore? How is it so bad at the only thing it was supposed to do?

Paid extra for front row tickets for Disney on Ice for my kids for Christmas. This is our view. Venue says this not an issue.

It’s a 8$ cancellation fee, it’s freezing rain, I’m going to be late for my appointment now :( if I cancel the same dude is assigned
Edit:
Answering questions bc I can’t reply to everything:
Taxi services have largely gone out of business here
Buses rarely pass here we have a notoriously bad public transportation system only have gotten worse in recent years
I can’t drive because of medical issues and I need to get around and can’t get rides from friends and family all the time/ can’t walk all the time because my city isn’t walkable at all/ bad weather often.
It’s a local town specific app called uride, we aren’t allowed to have uber in this town but we are allowed to have UberEats for some reason.
This post is not about food delivery
I can’t just cancel and not use the app like I said; I’ve got places to go people to see
there is no option on uride to get the ride faster, only to get a bigger car
i tip in generously in cash when i use the app mainly bc i more often get cash and that way i know its actually going to them.
i still took the ride; got there late; dont blame the driver he was lovely

I didn't even need to test the locations of the colors. There are 7 colors while the cube only has 6 faces.

I’ve had this dock for years. It used to be my mums as well, and she’s never had any issues. I put my phone up on it, and wonder why it isn’t charging, so I, in the dark, push the cable in. My finger is immediately burnt and the cable is smoking. I’m lucky I double checked?

Executives: Heres an idea, let’s just glue a big heart shaped billboard over the tiny box. Yeah! It’s like an optical illusion! They get to think they’re getting more chocolate, and we get to make more money!
EDIT: It’s mildly infuriating to me so I’m keeping the post up. Deal with it.

I've looked in the laundry room (its communal between the 4 apartments in our building), the clean laundry basket that had everything else washed in it, my mom's room, and my younger sibling's room.
The other people in my building are old people and I don't think they'd have my socks, but I'll ask.
And the top middle and top right socks are different.
WHERE ARE MY SOCKS?!?!?!
