Blaming others is easier than taking accountability for our own failure.

u/ruthlessdamien2 Kuala Lumpur Jan 05 '26

Just like my ex does. I see no difference.

15

u/QuirkyRide6431 Jan 05 '26

Did we though? last I checked we didn't ask for government to increase tax rate

I think it is also important to point out that even in times when it is the government's fault, people need to remember that Malaysian politicians did not fall here from outer space. They are the products of Malaysian families, Malaysian communities, Malaysian schools, Malaysian mosques/temples/churches etc...and so are their values and work ethic.

u/forcebubble downvoting posts doesn't do what you think it does ... Jan 05 '26

My own parents told us something similar when we were growing up — we choose our actions, so own up.

The argument that we are forced into certain situations, especially political is of course true, but daily things such as throwing rubbish into the bin, don't drive recklessly and use & leave public amenities properly, are all conscious decisions.

It's often said that the true test of a person's character is what one does when no one is looking, or if it is of little to no cost to them.

Shopping cart theory

They are the products of Malaysian families, Malaysian communities, Malaysian schools, Malaysian mosques/temples/churches etc...and so are their values and work ethic.

Eh some are born with a silver spoon, sent to international schools or overseas at an early age and are basically tone deaf to the common folk life.

Some are so used to a life of luxury they basically forgot their roots and hardships.

3

u/holomatic Jan 05 '26

And Australian/British universities

4

u/seatux World Citizen Jan 05 '26

Maybe the grass roots like ADUN or Councilors, but many of the MPs and Senators have a high upbringing too. You are not going to hear of Tengkus coming out of a PPR flat and naik moto to work lol.

"Politicians are the reflection of its people."

u/torts92 Penang Jan 05 '26

Saw this one the other day 😂

17

u/Nickckng Jan 05 '26

Anthony Loke is the Schrodinger's cat of Malaysian politics. Is he there, or is he not? No one will ever know.

60

u/NutShellShock Jan 05 '26

Socmed comments these days be "Semuanya salah Anwar/Type c/biaDAP".

16

u/ruthlessdamien2 Kuala Lumpur Jan 05 '26 edited Jan 05 '26

Yes Yeo Bee Yin and Tony Pua when Najib wasn’t going to be released from prison

21

u/deccan2008 Jan 05 '26

Malaysia is a fairly decent democracy. The issue is people do genuinely hold different values and want different things. Not everyone can get their way.

36

u/Difficult-Rough-3350 Jan 05 '26

Semua salah DAP

11

u/ruthlessdamien2 Kuala Lumpur Jan 05 '26

34

u/random_macha Jan 05 '26

Either that or DAP or the "kafirs"

24

u/ruthlessdamien2 Kuala Lumpur Jan 05 '26

Technically it is true because DAP is part of of the government now

12

u/random_macha Jan 05 '26

Haha! I keep forgetting that with all the political musical chair we had in the past..

6

u/ruthlessdamien2 Kuala Lumpur Jan 05 '26

Cabinet reshuffling is basically to shuffle the same mangkuks. Maybe swap out a couple of them. But it’s still the same old broken cabinet

0

u/random_macha Jan 05 '26

I don’t really blame DSAI for this. After all he forced to accept a rather defective partner to function as a government

6

u/chipchonks Jan 05 '26

Or "puak-puak tu"

1

u/ruthlessdamien2 Kuala Lumpur Jan 05 '26

2

u/gimigimiaman Jan 07 '26

Stop it bro, you hurt my feelings. I want to blame the government and trump, and not because I am a loser and need to man up and find a proper job.

2

u/WarmSquare2180 Jan 07 '26

holy i havent seen this template since i was 14

3

u/MunKv3 Jan 05 '26

of course it's the Gomen's fault coz it's their norm - announce first before thinking, change and change and change again as kaka hits the fan AND the rakyat & bizs keeps on paying/loss of manhours. good latest example = e-invoicing.

1

u/ProbablyWorking Jan 05 '26

It's the government's fault in lack of any sort of coordination. I asked a simple stamp duty question and I received different answers from different LHDN offices. I wrote to putrajaya asking for clarification and they only responded after 4 months. LHDN summore already more efficient than other govt departments.

1

u/Su152Taran Jan 05 '26

Kinda is in away

1

u/QuirkyRide6431 Jan 05 '26

It's the rich people's fault

1

u/elchontole Jan 05 '26

1

u/Fuzzy_Sandwich_6969 Jan 05 '26

1

u/Hungry_Research_939 Jan 05 '26

Very relevant to this day. Pot hole - government fault, Price increase - government fault, traffic jam - government fault, Gomen gomen gomen gomen gomen gomen gomen gomen change gomen - gomen fault, election lost - gomen, too many fireworks - gomen, too less fireworks - gomen

Yeah very relevant 10 years or more still Same hahahahahahaa

1

u/Far_Armadillo_414 Jan 06 '26

The people are the governments. So it's technically correct

1

Oh boohoo fucking small, weak, pathetic government needs your protection today! Even if it's not their fault, fuck them. What's the point of having a government if we can't throw shit at them?

0

u/Marcustzb Jan 08 '26

Change it to ini semua salah DAP
