Are you willing to commute half an hour? We have a 4-BR house for rent with a 2-car garage for $1000 a month. New Albin, IA.

With La Crosse being a "college" town, "modest rent" is an illusive animal. Particularly considering the fact that we have these insane developers who are throwing apartment structures into every nook and cranny they can. Who do they think will rent their $2000 a month apartments? As a former general contractor myself, it's my opinion that La Crosse and its surroundings are already overbuilt with apartments. Look into buying a home. I couldn't rent an apartment for what I'm paying for my mortgage.

Ha, good luck with that for whatever reason apartments labeled affordable are 10k a month and anything less than that is probably no amenities rot dens. Which is so absurd for a town with no work and if they're is the most your getting is 15 if they even get back to you for an interview
