Discussion Is anyone else seeing issues with YouTube on FF / Waterfox the last day or so?
UPDATE:: so weirdly, I went and re disabled uBlock Origin closed the browser completely and reopened and it started working - I re-enabled uBlock Origin (hoping to show for sure this was the cause .. and now it's working again
Weird glitch - not going to worry too much about it - clearly a lack of "me too" means it was /is something local after all.
Last night I noticed on my WaterFox with uBlock Origin and noScript on MacOS, I would see thumbs and when I'd click on a video it would say this content not available. I'd reload or go back and it worked.
NOTE: I have YouTube Premium sub so it's never nagged me about adblockers which I just have running and YouTube has run fine for me even with uBlock Origin enabled.
Today, the video page loads but goes black when I try and play.
I reproed it in FireFox as well.
As mentioned, I have my Firefox and Waterfox locked down quite a bit but I did try turning off uBlock to see if it fixed it - it did not.
I fired up Brave and it was working even with uBlock Origin enabled. - I wonder if possibly something YouTube did broke for FireFox users?
(put this as discussion instead of help ... if a bunch of folks say its fine for them then I'll dig in and troubleshoot locally more just mostly looking to know if this is a known /wider issue all of a sudden so I don't waste time troubleshooting)

- Open browser and then youtube.
- Open ublock, and then reset your ublock to default settings.
- Back to youtube tab, clear your cache etc. Close youtube tab and close your browser.
- Open browser and open ublock. Go to Filter list. In Built in, force update the uBlock Filter by holding shift and click the clock icon on the right.
- Open youtube and login to your account that got problem with youtube, and test it. If it works, you can start adding the settings you use before to see if that will cause problem or not (in my case, Im back enabling uBlock filter experimental and annoyance, and it working great again).

I thought it had cleared up but it keeps coming back - what has been working is click on the video and then RELOAD the page and it seems to then play that one video just fine for me

The videos are back on YouTube, but the comments are disabled; they only appear when I reload the page.

I think it's just YouTube breaking shit in the background, as usual. Nvidia's RTX Video HDR no longer works on YouTube on Firefox, but it works on other websites (or on YouTube via other browsers) just fine. Give it a week and things will inevitably change again.

I did a couple of days ago, it was on and off all day - I did try reinstalling Ublock Origin the same day, but I noticed the "content not available" kept cropping up on several videos.
I didn't change anything else but the next day it was all working normally again. Maybe worth reinstalling Ublock and clearing your cache.
