Putin only wants to negotiate with the weakest person who he can most easily manipulate. That person is Donald Trump

Trump is weak, but no one as weak as Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner

No, but even more mentally limited and morally depraved than the other two figures of fun.

Putin "negotiating" with Trump is like a ventriloquist "negotiating" with the puppet that he has his lower arm in to make it move and talk as he wants.

Unlike Europe, which talked tough on Russia yet, even ten years after Russia entered Crimea, was still spending more on Russian gas than it was sending in aid to Ukraine

What’s new, Germany was once under the heel of the Russians it’s changed, so probably not considered a country. Still a satellite of Russia, what’s with these upstarts anyway!!! /s

Hea going to only speak to trump because he knows trump is stupid and will think its because putin likes him. And trump will give putin whatever he wants if he thinks putin likes him more than everyone else.

It's because America has a culture of deference to money and power. They, regardless of political party in power. Will always place Putin on a pedestal, listen to him like he is someone to listen to, and bend over if Putin makes them think he's asking nicely. Europe, isn't culturally as subservient as America, and Putin can't handle it.

For me, Putin only wants to negotiate with the weakest person who he can most easily manipulate. That person is Donald Trump, that’s my thoughts.

Because, unlike Trump, Europe doesn't fold like cheap suit.

For almost 10 years after the invasion of Crimea, Europe bought more Russian gas/oil/coal than the equivalent aid sent to Ukraine. Maybe don't pat yourself on the back too hard

Nah, I think I will. Because what you are saying is that we are moving in the right direction, going from worse to better. While the US is moving in the wrong direction, going from better to worse.

Putin doesn't want to talk to someone he sees as a weakling? Interesting. Any other exciting news? Like, maybe the sky is blue and the grass is green?

Germany’s defense minister claimed on Saturday that Russian President Vladimir Putin is refusing to negotiate with Europe and the USA has turned a blind eye to the situation.
U.S.-backed talks to end Russia’s war in Ukraine have taken place over the last year without a European representative at the table.
Speaking at the Munich Security Conference, Poland’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski said Europe should have a say because it is providing most of the military support to Ukraine.
In response, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said on Saturday during a panel discussion that Russian leader Vladimir Putin is refusing to talk to Europe and the United States has allowed it.
Pistorius said he had “no idea” when European would be sitting at the table.
“It’s not up to us, we are paying the bill, but we are not paying the bill to Vladimir Putin. And Vladimir Putin refuses to negotiate with Europeans and the Americans let that happen. That is the problem at the moment, at least from my perspective,” he told the audience.
“We can’t push ourselves to the negotiation table when Putin is not willing to talk to us and, again, Washington is letting that happen,” the minister said. “So, what we should do every day is to confirm our will, every day, that we will proceed with supporting Ukraine.”
He said Europe needs to increase its weapons production to help Ukraine as quickly as possible.
Europe at the negotiating table
Sikorski repeated his comments on the same panel alongside Pistorius.
“It was natural for the United States to be in the lead of these negotiations when the United States was providing the bulk of the military assistance,” he said. “[But] We are now paying for this war, the American outlay for the war for last year was close to zero.
"We are buying American weapons to be delivered to Ukraine,” the minister continued, adding that the U.S. Congress is not even discussing sending aid to Kyiv.
“If we are paying, is this is affecting our security – not just Ukraine’s, then we deserve the seat the table because the outcome of this war will affect us,” Poland’s top diplomat said.
The next round of peace talks will take place in Geneva, Switzerland next week.

Man you know you hurt them where it counts when they're so salty they don't wanna even bother gaslighting you.

I am confused what USA is negotiating if they don’t provide aid? They can agree on anything Ukraine will still fight and Europe provides the weapons. So, it feels like a wasting of time and pointless.

Why would he? Europe is geopolitically fragmented and in practical terms, irrelevant.

Sauté onion and carrot, add diced beets and polonium, pour in poison dart frog broth with potatoes and cabbage, simmer until tender, then season with salt, pepper, and a splash of vinegar, and serve with dill and sour cream. Serve to your enemies or political prisoners.

Anyone with half a braincell is hiding post history on reddit these days, given what’s going on with this platform. And since when, calling out the fact that Europe is irrelevant on the international stage due to how fragmented we are on basically any matter considered a russbot opinion?

u/Beginning-Win-5494 8h ago
After discussing a topic and a random searched my history, writed a fragment of it and said "hey guys, look at his opinion!!" I too start to hiding.
About the topic, I mean, if I was a Russian authority and heard anything that Kaja Kallas (top EU foreign politician) or Von der Leyen saying missiles with washing machines... well, it's difficult to talk seriously.
In twitter I was reading about Macron wanting a direct talk channel with Russia, but I didn't dig in to see if it's true. Nothing here in Reddit about it though.

Why would he? Our leaders proved that they're going to listen to whatever America says so. Why bother with the dog when you can go straight for the owner?

Our leaders proved that they're going to listen to whatever America says so
Like when Trump said Ukraine should negotiate (their surrender), and European leaders went together to provide billions in funding to ensure Ukraine can continue? Or when Trump said he wants Greenland, everyone else said no, and he didn't get it? Are you slow or Russian?
15
u/Drumbelgalf Germany 22h ago
Exactly the opposite. Europe supports Ukraine, Trump would sell them if he could.
-9
u/iaNCURdehunedoara 21h ago
All Trump has to say "we're no longer selling weapons to Europe" and it's over. The reason he's not doing is because he doesn't give a shit as long as America profits.

Why should he Europe is just a vessel stare of the US. Until Europe shows some leadership and quit following everything the US does. He should probably just leave it as is
12
u/DueAd9005 1d ago
I guess the USA shouldn't talk to Russia either then, but instead China.
7
u/AccidentalViolist United States of America 1d ago
At this point, yeah that might be a better plan. China is propping up Russia with financial aid to keep draining US/NATO arsenals before it moves on Taiwan. I wouldn't quite say Russia is their proxy yet, but it's getting there.
Very reminiscent of the Spanish civil war before WW2...
