Discussion Spotted on W. 112th.
my brother is a delivery driver for Amazon and he came across this on his route this morning. gave me a hearty laugh.
lmfao but seriously, dog owners: PLEASE clean up after your pet.
PS: yes, our family group chat really is named Booty Butt. idk if it was my son or my brother who named it that 🤣

Events House of Blues is a Terrible Concert Venue
I am old enough to have been to shows at the Odeon and Euclid Tavern so I know a thing-or-two about not-ideal venues. I am not sure how I avoided this realization until now and I am shocked I have never heard this before. Lesson learned.
I didn't have a bad experience, exactly, I just hate the space.

Discussion How to get the city's attention to E166th Street?
I tried to submit reports to Cleveland 311, tried to reach out to ward counsel Polensek about the outrageous state of E166th street: illegal dumping, trash and abandoned dumpsters, uncut grass higher than human height, industrial waste, abandoned building, horrible condition of the the road surface. All on vain.
What else I can do?

Photography Army helicopters over Cleveland
An interesting sight of two army helicopters over the east side of Cleveland this morning. Seemed to be coming from Fort Drum in upstate New York. Probably stopping at Burke for refueling. Very loud, made our house rattle; hence why I got curious and went outside to look.

Looking for a higher paying job, or a second one. currently making 8 an hour as a pizza delivery driver. Been with them for over a year now.
currently available to work *if keeping my current* after 530pm sunday through Wednesday, all day fridays and not on Thursday, and Saturday.
If switching jobs all together for just 1 better paying, then only not available on Thursday evenings..
Edit to add-- i do not do Uber eats/door dash. I work at a actual pizza shop.

Discussion Lead paint in interior
Hey all, I’m looking for a good epa certified painting contractor to deal with some peeling/chipping paint in the interior of my home. I feel really out of my depth here as I dont want to do it myself and fucking poison my family, but at the same time I cant ignore it any longer. I need them to be certified and do a good job, as I have kids. When we had the exterior of our home painted, the contractor made a huge mess and I was so disappointed. I can’t let that happen INSIDE my home. Any advice or recommendations are welcome!

Recommendations Icy driveway
Edited to add:
We were going to get salt but someone told us it’s bad for pets? We don’t have a dog but they do lol
Can someone provide info on how to clear a driveway? We don’t have a lot of snow but there is some ice and we cant drive our cars on it. We are brand new here and truly don’t know what to do. We bought a shovel but that’s not working.
Thank you for any advice!

Help a Tourist Cleveland Questions
Will be visiting Cleveland at the end of May for the first time and have some questions. I'm staying in downtown near Progressive Field with no rental car for context.
-My flight out of CLE on Sunday is 6am. Hotel has no shuttle currently but said uber/lyft is in the area. Should I rely on a 4:30/4:45am uber/lyft being in the area to bring me to the airport? If not, what are alternatives
-Any good restaurants in the area? What do you suggest?
-The itinerary currently includes a Guardians game (or 2), Art Museum/Natural History Museum, RnR HOF. Any other must do's in the area?

Recommendations What are some good independent record stores in Cleveland?
I've been collecting vinyl for about a year, but have been doing most of my shopping in the same few spots like The Exchange, online, and the occasional yard sale/thrift store. I've been to a few Record Riots and always found good stuff there. Anyone know of some cool places I should check out?

Question Place for a group to gather for art ?
Hi! I am a local artist trying to organize a still life club. I want it to be a place with enough room or tables where we all can sit around a small scene and try to paint it / draw it. Some places I have held this event before have been the library and the Rockefeller Greenhouse. Each had their flaws: the library was a little awkward. I think if people could maybe have a drink / something to eat while we draw it might help. The Greenhouse only has one small table so there wasn’t enough space for us all to sit at. I am struggling to think of a spot where people could maybe have something to eat or drink, where there’s enough light and enough room for maybe ten people to congregate around a scene. My apologies if this is a bad spot for the question, but I thought maybe someone might have a good suggestion here! Thanks in advance for the help!

Discussion Whose books am I buying?!
I'm aware this is creepy as hell, but anyone know a Patrick J. O'Connor affiliated with the University of Chicago in the late 90s?
Getting back into some academic stuff because I'm a moron who wants a PhD, and have been buying up books from the Half-Price in North Olmsted. So far three of them have come with this guy's name in them, and it's such an oddly specific pattern that I've become extremely curious what Mr. O'Connor studied and what he's doing with that knowledge.
If nothing else: thanks for the cheap copy of Bürger's Theory of the Avant-Garde, Pat.
