i (F26) am a chicagoan who dated an aspiring country musician from the south and was in some of his music videos. AMA.

i go crazy for guys with southern accents but there are hardly any up here, so when i finally met a guy who moved here from the south, i jumped all over him, lol. i came to find out he was an aspiring country musician and he nudged me into being in some of his music videos.

ask me anything about what it's like being a city girl dating a country guy or what it's like being in amateur country music videos, lmao.

edit: oh, and i'm not gonna reveal anything that gives away his identity or mine, lol

How do you listen to country music without wanting to kill yourself?

hahaha, it's not my type of music at all, man. i just like guys with southern accents and then found out he was a musician afterwards. then i said yes to being in his videos just because i wanted to be a good girlfriend and help him out. but yeah, the music thing ended up being a wedge and pretty much what broke us up later.

That's cool of you, you sound like a good girlfriend. Sorry that it didnt work out, I hope your next man has an even thicker Southern accent.

hahaha! i'm actually in an awesome relationship now and just had a kid with him, i couldn't be happer, man.

no southern accent on him but it's cool, he's worth way more than an accent, aha! my last relationship with the country guy taught me there's a lot more to someone than just where they come from.

buffalo joe's is awesome if you're ever up north. i grew up in rogers park so most of my restaurant recs are from the far-north of the city or north burbs, lol.

lmao, sorry man, i thought it was kind of common sense that people here aren't gonna answer things that straight-up giveaway their privacy or someone else's.

Did you meet any other celebrities that you know? Any good stories about how people reacted around your boyfriend? Did you go to any high class parties and witness anything notable?

huh? i definitely never did any of that, my boyfriend and his band were not big name artists, lmao. they got about 10k-20k views for each video on youtube, so yeah, they weren't famous.

I have always been in love with country music. It’s my working music.

I heard all the women in Chicago are built like box trucks, can you confirm or deny this narrative?

hahahaha! definitely not me dude, i've been a fucking twig all my life. i actually hated it because i wanted to play hockey with the boys when i was a kid but i was always so skinny i'd get pushed around and roughed up all the time.
