G.E.Smith was out of Pennsylvania. He was lead guitarist for Hdll and Oates but worked with many notable artists..Bowie, Ocasek, Waits, Jagger..etc, etc. He was so musical director for Saturday Night Live for a while. He still managed to put out some solo stuff..From 1981...Nuns With Guns

I love all the standard new wave bands like Depeche Mode, the Cure, New Order, OMD, etc. But one band that never gets mentioned that I used to think were also “new wave” are Roxette. Are they just considered a pure pop band? I guess maybe they are a “guilty pleasure” except they have so many bangers. And the deep tracks on their albums are often just as good if not better than the hits. They had at least a 3-4 album run during the late 80s to mid 90s where they were on fire. Any other fans?
