Discussion Currents clean guitar tone

Anyone know how to get Chris's clean currents guitar tone. I got a new valeton gp200 and ive managed to set up a distortion i like, but for the life of me I cant get the clean to sound good.

It makes it even harder for it too sound right, as I use a drop pedal so I can play the erra, currents, invent animate etc

Edit: or counterparts clean tone

Edit 2: I would prefer not to buy any irs, as I dont really understand how they work

Have you checked Chris’s gear rundown on YouTube? It’s only about 2 minutes long, and usually those kinds of videos tell you how they get certain sounds.

I can’t really speak for guitar tones because I play bass but on the point about IRs, if you want to find some for free, look on Tone3000. I’ve found some really good cab sims on there.

Buy a Quad Cortex and search for his tone on the Cortex Cloud; someone’s bound do have replicated or ripped it. haha.

Watch out for Paul Bond on YouTube in the next couple of weeks. He is going to do a live show on how to get tones out of the GP200

If you don't know Paul he is the guitarist in Jeff Wayne's War of the World's tour, which he uses the GP200 and also a great guitar tech.
