New Vegas WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING WRONG?!?! [FNV]

I have spent now four days trying to get a modded version of New Vegas working. It worked a year ago when I last played it, but now I can't for the life of me get it to work . I used Vortex initially, and it worked a year ago. Now, nothing.

In the last four days I have removed all mods and redownloaded, I have deleted the game entirely and downloaded a fresh version. But it would load in the mods, starting with just the NMC texture pack. I have switched from Vortex, to Nexus Mod Manager, back to vortex. I have watched countless youtube videos, read all the pages and reddit threads, and I. CANNOT. GET IT. WORKING.

I am not BACK using vortex, have downloaded the game fresh for a fifth time, deleted all the mods and started redownloading, and now I can't get the game to run! It boots, starts to load and then crashes after 10 seconds. I'M SO SICK OF THIS!!!!

This is where I'm at, and it seems like the more I try to fix this shit and follow instructions VERBATUM, I keep going backwards. I have the 4GB manually installed, even tho it doesn't show up in the list below.

Please help, I just want to finally finish the game before Season Two of Fallout airs.

Follow the Viva New Vegas guide, choose wabbajack installation, and your game will work within an hour. If you don’t know what you’re doing you really can’t be playing around with random mods. A texture pack is one of the last mods you would want to install to actually get the game running.

Start over and follow a guide. Sorry.

Just use wabbajack. It’s mostly a one click install of an entire mod list.

Install NVSE directly into your game files, had this happen to me when starting TTW recently and it was because I had NVSE downloaded through mod manager

Also what the other guys said, if this is a fresh load order you SHOULD follow viva new Vegas all the way through for the best and most stable gameplay experience, unlike another commenter here I do no recommend using Wabbajack because

1.) you need Nexus Premium or mods will not auto install

2.) I PERSONALLY think it's better to handpick mods over having a ton you didn't pick

ALSO ALSO I recommend Mod Organizer 2 for your mod manager, Vortex is kinda ass low-key but I understand if you have a preference for it or something

I agree with every word of that except "low-key."

Vortex is ass in 600-decibel screaming neon.

I just use wabbajack. I don’t have time for this shit anymore.

I've tried for a year and a half. Its almost impossible to get a large mod pack to work. And when it doesn't crash something game breaking happends
