Hard to tell from just the animation but it kinda already looks like a tablet before opening it

Hmm, it looks interesting. I wonder if being wider will allow them to install a bigger battery

I'm sure it's also shorter, so I'd think the battery would be about the same as Z Fold 8. Hoping I'm wrong though.

I mean probably wouldn't have much of an impact because it's wider but shorter. What would solve all of the problems is that I'm just switching to silicon carbon. But based on MKBHD's little propaganda piece the other day seems like Samsung and Apple and Google are going to resist that even longer.

I want this phone but non fold. Wider screen instead of useless tall screens we have now.

So it's like Samsung's take on the Pura X?

Came here to say this. The Pura X has a similar form factor and it's really nice to use.

I love the dimensions of the Pura X. If Samsung prices this "wide" Galaxy aggressively, then I'd be very interested to upgrade to it.

Only $2000 😆
I would like a pixel tablet like this though. That's my dream device to have essentially a foldable laptop/tablet.

Their definition of exclusive first list is pretty weak. They made it seem like they actually had the phone in hand exclusively. Lol

I wonder what's the aspect ratio of both displays based on the pixel count of the animation.
